So, this is going to be a 150$/? game?
Nice.
Real nice.
And here I was thinking playing a pc game for a change was going to save me a bit of money.

Starcraft 1 rocks to this day but only because of multiplayer. Blizzard say you'll be able to play multiplayer with all three races with just Starcraft 2 part 1, so why should Blizzard expect me to pay full price for the other two when they're just essentially single player add-ons?
Prices for the second and third parts haven't been announced.

Also, they will contain new content for the multiplayer portion alongside the new single player content.

So, essentially what they've announced is that Starcraft II will have two expansion packs.

...The bright side is, if you LOVED the campaigns of Starcraft, you'll get HUGE campaigns this way. 90-100 missions long, with 3 games worth of Blizzard's Trademark CGI cutscenes...
90-100 MISSIONS!?

Wow, that's gonna keep me occupied.

Regardless, I'll probably wait til they release Starcraft 2 Battlechest

i didnt read all the post so i dont know if someone already said this but i think we can all assume that the 1st pack will include each race in multiplayer, so the other 2 really only have the story mode. So only buying the first one isnt that bad or if ur like me and not to into the story line it wont even be an issue. also keeping that in mind the zerg and protoss might be cheaper than the terran
