I get that the random creatures/people/etc in open worlds add some texture to the envioronment, but why does every living thing always have to be retardedly aggressive?
"Oh look. That guy has six miniguns and is basically wearing a goddamn tank. I have a broken beer bottle and am wearing a piss-stained wife-beater. I'm going to try to charge him."
(Half a second later)
"Well, he pulled out a smaller gun just to try to spare my life, but still managed to disarm me and break my arm with a single shot while also bringing me to within an inch of my life such that if I even sneezed I would drop dead on the spot. Better attack him with my fists. Clearly I'm about to win."
Also, I don't know if game makers have ever actually *SEEN* wildlife, but the odds of a lone wolf attacking a group of 8' tall guys in loud, clanking armor that gleams in the sun and makes them look like creatures that would eat 10 wolves each for breakfast are NOT 110%. Yes, evolution does actually sometimes favor non-suicidal behaviors. Shocking, I know.
