I'll stick with my DVDs for as long as they last. The miniscule difference in quality isn't good enough for me to justify getting a Blu-Ray player and repurchasing all my favorite movies in the format.

For Blu Ray I get that really weird problem when the dialogue is super low, so I have to turn it up really loud, but then the action scenes are fucking LOUD.

I hate it.
I noticed this when my brother played the Dark Knight on his PS3. He had to keep a hand on the remote at all times because the dialog would be very quiet, but then when things got louder the speakers just about flung us across the room Marty McFly style.

You know, you can use the lazer from a blu-dvd burner to light stuff on fire. It seems pretty easy to put together too.

EDIT:
I'd tell you which one I prefer, but then I'd get suspended again.
Lets just say normal DVD are around 700MB and the same thing but in Blu-ray quality is going to be over a gig.

Blu-Ray all the way. I've re-bought my main favourites on BD, and I do not buy DVDs anymore, unless they come packaged with the BD. (Oddly common.)

BLU-RAY!!!

Wave of the future. Until direct download takes over in a couple months.

It's the same damn thing, it's both a data storage only with more space and different encoding for Blue-Ray
Blu-ray allows for HD quality movie due to the greater amount of space.

Watching Blu-rays on an HD tv at 1080p, is waaaay higher quality than watching a regular dvd on a regular screen.

Blu ray, the HD really does make a difference. Like now I can't truly enjoy a football game without being able to see the individual grass blades...

Blu ray is irrelevant. really you can get great detail on a dvd, why would I pay more for a blu-ray player? oh that's right, I wouldn't. I hear they have really high storage capacity, adn that that makes them ideal to back up stuff, but for movies a dvd is more than good enough.
