At Square's last announcement, it was 3.cleverlymadeup said:and how many disc will FFXIII be for the 360? was it 4 or 5? even at that they had to compress it still. the PS3 version only has 1 disc to do that. even id was having issue with the size limits of the 360 dvds
Imagine if they said that in the 8-bit days...Cargando said:It's all numbers man, what do graphics really matter?cleverlymadeup said:sorry but let's see a dvd do full 1080p, it can't do that on a standard dvd-9, also there's the storage aspect of itCargando said:I doubt it. Blu-ray... it's not that revolutionary.
First of all I don't care about FF13 or any game starring angsty 13 year old boys/girls and The Xbox can update a game over 30 seconds topcleverlymadeup said:and how many disc will FFXIII be for the 360? was it 4 or 5? even at that they had to compress it still. the PS3 version only has 1 disc to do that. even id was having issue with the size limits of the 360 dvdsCargando said:It's all numbers man, what do graphics really matter?cleverlymadeup said:sorry but let's see a dvd do full 1080p, it can't do that on a standard dvd-9, also there's the storage aspect of itCargando said:I doubt it. even they've reached the limit with most games on the 360 cause the discs are too small
i've never had a 30 minute update for a game. most of the time it's 5 minutes if that, but then again i guess i do have a good internet connectioneoin90210 said:My argument is that it takes a long time to update a PS3Frank_Sinatra_ said:No your argument stands against your connection, however a PS3 can update a game in under 30 minutes.eoin90210 said:My argument still stands
Your complaint seems petty.
so seriously i'd like to see where you're getting your info cause i'm pretty sure it comes from a planetary object
The whole point is that blu-ray is as slow as fuck and the fact that game developers have to make you install games on your hard drive or put the information twice to cut down loading times completely negates blu-ray's only good quality, the storageThe_Angry_Haruhist said:You know, I never say what the big deal was with installation times on the PS3. Most games take about 30 minutes, and that isn't a great big deal. If I can wait 30 minutes for MGS4 to install, then so can the impatient hordes.eoin90210 said:My argument is that it takes a long time to update a PS3Frank_Sinatra_ said:No your argument stands against your connection, however a PS3 can update a game in under 30 minutes.eoin90210 said:My argument still stands

But yeah, Xbox is probably never going to get Blu-Ray, more so since Microsoft backed HD-DVD, the direct competitor to Blu-Ray in the format war.
...it all depends on the size of the sodding update. Something that's about 500MB will obviously take longer than 30MB...Frank_Sinatra_ said:That would be an issue with your connection. My PS3 can update a game in about 10 minutes or less.eoin90210 said:Let's see the PS3 update a blu-ray game in under 30 minutescleverlymadeup said:sorry but let's see a dvd do full 1080p, it can't do that on a standard dvd-9, also there's the storage aspect of itCargando said:I doubt it. I doubt it, unless MS is ready to shell out royalties to Sony.
Now that you mentioned that, I wonder why Sony and Microsoft couldn't just work together...xmetatr0nx said:I would have punched your friend for being so loud and abnoxious...
Other than that, um i dont see how its possible. It would require sony to work with MS, oh no! haha, who knows, if its profitable for both it could happen.
Its magic that makes things look prettey.poncho14 said:I don't really know what blu-ray is can anyone explain?
