We're (i guess) beyond the point of safe approach. Are you ready for some intrusive tests that MAY (there's low probability) to harm your system ? You won't lose your data, but there's possibility that you have rootkits/malware that infected some vital files and they may be destroyed in the process of fixing things.
Yep, paradox but sometimes things are like that. :)
Uhh...I don't think I am ready. D: If I screw up the system, I know it can be repaired but the problem is I wouldn't know how. Even if you guide me through it, I use my computer on a daily basis now that classes have started. I...don't think I can afford that at the time... :/
C'mon where's your spirit of adventure ? ;)

Just joking. I understand...

You know what ? You may do one thing more... :)
- Go here : http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=1889
- Download 32-bit CD No codecs ISO
- Burn it to the CD
- Boot your computer from this CD
- Check how your system behaves (it should be much slower, but we're chasing those lags)

Lags will mean one thing - something is wrong with hardware.
No lags - system.
Oh, ok. This is going to take even longer, though. DX My netbook has no CD port, but I can hopefully borrow an external one from a friend. But I'll definitely try this.

Either:

A Virus

Memory issue (RAM)

OR,

Too much dust in your laptop.
That's what happened to me...kept getting this Blue Screen (and a few others), finally just opened up my pic and gave it a good cleaning out, got all the dust out.

Though I'm not sure if a netbook can really get clogged like a pc can..maybe buy one of those Compressed Air cleaning things and just give the fan a good spray? It can't hurt, and they're always good to have.

Just wanted to update this. Today, my laptop got a blue screen. Restarted it, when I hit the power button again, a message popped up that said Disk error or something and to press Crt, Alt and Delete to restart. It keeps doing that and it's an endless loop. My brother knows a bit about computers and he says that maybe my hard drive was wiped out. We don't know how to fix it so...I'll find someone who can fix it for me. Needless to say, getting that CD or getting a spray is pointless now.

Thanks to everyone who tried to helped me. I really appreciate it.
