Think of it this way...

You can sell oranges for a little more than however much the seed costed, people will like you for it but why do that when you could sell oranges for much more than the seed costed. People not might like you for that BUT you are selling oranges for money so why not maximize your profits?

Face it you would all be in Koticks place if you could.

People are not just disliking Koticks because of his business practices. (Though that is certainly a big part of it)

It's also because as a public personality, he has shown himself to be arrogant, condecsending, spiteful, borderline sociopathic, and just an all round douchebag.

New Gamemode! Hunt: hunt down bobby kotick and kill him in the most gruesome way. He got 50 lives on a let's say... 24 player map (I'd go with 32 or higher but c'mon, 23 people hunting one guy (npc maybe?) would be enough of a clusterfudge)

Try playing that game mode with 256 online multiplayer....
