You assume that all females wear makeup or need to wear makeup. I don't use it. At all.
Err.... no actually that assumption is nowhere in that sentence- at most Im assuming that some women wear make up; which is a pretty safe bet.

Tattoos can work well if you've put some decent thought into them; something that somewhat reflects on you as a person but also has a story to back it up, or something or someone who helped change you (hence why you get all the 'Mother heart' tattoos), I would go with a small bar of Fight Club soap.

For piercings, that's more or a fashion thing, something to really show to the world (granted if it's on your face); small ones (e.g. buds) show a non-showy character, large ones give the almost attention-seeker or even the one who does isn't fussed about it all. After all, "Self Improvement is Maturbation, now Self Destruction...".

Anyway, those are my thoughts from what I've seen in friends and strangers, I'm fine either way, but the ones that do get me are the Huge ear-stretching plugs; they just seem a bit 'primitive-tribe'/ 'jeapordising-future-career-plan' to me, but again, could be a whole bohemian thing to another eye. "One man's trash is another man's treasure" (or my preferrence: "One man's terrorist is another man's Freedom-Fighter")

I think some tattoos and piercings are dumb. When people starts looking more like a lizard than a human, it's going to far.

I do have a big skull wearing headphones on my leg though, so who am I to talk.

I'm a girl and I have a few tattoos and a fair few piercings. My nose ring is my pride and joy.

Thoughts on genital piercings, guys? (On men AND women.)

It's because women are beautiful by nature, men are intimidating. In my opinion, the natural beauty of a woman doesn't need to be augmented or covered. I assume that's how the other people feel too.
I hate to say this. What if a woman doesn't have natural beauty? Should she cover that?
I find something beautiful about most women, and even if you or I don't find a woman's natural features beautiful, somebody does.

I have very little problem with tattoos and piercings in certain environments (e.g. rock clubs/gigs) but outside of that anything much larger then a nose ring is just plain distasteful.

And yes alot of the double standards with it seems to come from old gender stereotypes and the fact that alot of body mods make the wearer appear rather intimidating- which whilst Im ashamed to say I agree to a certain extent I also recognize how ridiculous it is

I tend to not like make-up. It could be either an augmentation or a veil.

I'm not a fan of piercings. I don't know why, they just don't sit well with me. I do like tattoos tho, and I'd have to, since I have one.

I hate all this "proper job" stuff that goes with it. i've got the whole left side of my back done, i've got my left forearm done, and I've got stretched cartilage (10 gua., 6 gua.), and i've stretched my lobe to half an inch. Oh, and i'm a chef. Formally trained and working proper hours. If people are going to judge you on looks, call them out on it. You can get by doing what you want to your body.

Piercings - Eh, not so hot on those. Doesn't bother me much if its the ears, but anywhere else just seems weird to me.

Tattoo's, so long as your body isn't completely covered by tattoo's I don't mind. I probably wouldn't get a tattoo, but I don't mind if others do. Again, so long as it doesn't cover the entire body/face.

Your opinions?

Just your regular piercings and tattoo's.
Personally, I love them! I have quite a number of piercings and 5 tattoo's so far. (One of which is to do with Portal, I dunno if this is good or bad?!)
I thought about getting a portal tattoo once, the basic idea being a ninja coming out of a portal (coloured like a portal from the game) doing a flying kick

So far I have three tattoos (one I had to get done twice) and have a fourth planned when I have the money. I love them, especially the one on my back (Cheshire Cat) and go my fiance into tattoos (paid for her first and will pay for her second)

I have thought about getting an ear piercing (as it is the only type of piercing I'd get but unless I found a piercing that would suit me it isn't going to happen.

I didn't get a job, because of my piercings... I have two earings in my earlobes and one on the top of my ear.(those classifies as piercings. Even though people doesn't call them that anymore)
I personally think that it's up to the individual to decide whether or not to get bodymod, because it's their body and it's their decision..
I have plans on getting most of my body tattoed(I'm a girl) and getting more piercings(have 5 for now).
I recomend that people should think about why they want the bodymod and what kind. because you wouldn't want to regreat it later on.

my respect to people who have bodymod

How someone accessorizes their body is their buisness. As for myself I do not wish to tatoo, pierce, or otherwise modify my body.

I see tatoos as works of art that the should be worn proudly by those who get them and not shunned or seen as taboo as society. Then again not all tatoos are appropriate for public viewing. Just like any other piece of art though beauty (or appropriateness) is in the eye of the beholder.

On the subject of piercings I see the traditional ear piercing style (right on the lobe) as okay. As for other piercings (eyebrow, nose, lip, navel, etc...) although I see no appeal in them some people do. If others wish to have metal in/on them so be it. In the end it really does not affect me...

I love tattoos, and I plan on getting around 5 or 6(currently working on my designs). On the other hand, I'm somewhat indifferent to piercings.

Your body, you should be able to do what you like to it, I have no qualms.

Piercings and tattoos can look nice on the right person anyways, as long as its not overboard. :3

I love art in all it's forms, but my love of natural form wins out in this one. Earrings and small tattoos are fine, but it's the heavy body mod stuff that makes me go "Yeah they seem alright, but I just can see myself hanging out with them much."

I'd never get any though.

I feel that moderation is usually best. I'd like to get a tattoo myself, but I want it on my wrist and that means I'd have to wear a long sleeve shirt in the 90 degree(F) summers at work to cover it up. Screw that.
