Plus there's the fact that the odds of becoming a victim of a terrorist attack are pathetically low compared to a whole bunch of other ways of dying.JourneyThroughHell said:As for being afraid - that is exactly what you shouldn't be. Because, as cliched as that sounds, that's what they want.
I'm highly critical of "Islam" as a dogmatic religion/ideology, as I am of all other absolutist authoritarian world views, but most people who call themselves Muslims aren't 100 % literalist followers, just like all "Christians" don't go around murdering gay people anymore despite the book of Romans (to say nothing of what's in the Old Testament, insofar as that is upheld) still being canon.Kenko said:...
And another apologist leaps to defend islam! Stop trying to make muslims into the new jews plx.
Uh WTF?Kenko said:Lol fail arab is fail. I'd say its a 95% chance of a muslim there.
So, that was your point?Kenko said:Shit Snip

A guy with a pistol and an amateurish bomb could be related to the ongoing - if latent - gang war here, though the date would make a religious extremist plausible as well.
From the OP: The man is apparently from north africa or southern europe. No sign of Arab ethnicity.Kenko said:Lol fail arab is fail.
I'd say it's a 100 % chance of a y-chromosome there as well. What's your point? The whole Muslim = Terrorist thing doesn't really stand up to reality. If he's Muslim, then he's a minority within that group, just like "criminal men" are a a minority among the group of "men".I'd say its a 95% chance of a muslim there.
No it doesn't. He could very well be both. It states that he most likely has residence in Northern Africa orBlackadder51 said:Uh WTF?
It clearly states that the suspect was in no way a Muslim or an Arab.

It clearly states that the suspect was in no way a Muslim or an Arab.SouthernEurope, not what country he was born in and what religion he practises. All things considered it's very likely that he is a muslim(in some sense of the word). If he is from an Arabian country originally is of no relevance.
Im pretty sure this guy is 12...and white. This kind of talk is just sad. Muslims are people, just like you. No need to be such a racistKenko said:And another apologist leaps to defend islam! After rereading the article and also realising that your the OP, I now do realise my mistake. In my haste to take the bait of a troll i skipped an important piece of information. However my point still stands, there is no reason to assume that because it could have been a terrorist act it was automaticly a Musilm or an Arab.
Though evidence may prove me wrong of course.
