Yeah, they kind of look saggy in the JPN one :p

OT: I'll think about the huge progress made in visual boob reduction when I'm waiting in A+E because the funding for medical staff has been spent on reducing cleavage.

Maybe not that pedantic, but it is kind of a pointless win. If it hadn't been pointed out I wouldn't have noticed.

Even when the difference is essentially nonexistent, America still has to be the bigger prude.

Meh, whatever, I don't really see what purpose boobs should serve on a cover, anyways.
I really don't think the amount of clevage on the front cover is going to effect the gamplay one bit... unles there's some secret porn easter egg game of some sort involved....

Remember kids, guns, melee weapons, and extreme shows of dismemberment and gore are okay! But should you ever see even the slightest hint of a woman's "no-no" areas, notify the highest authority you can reach.
Only you can stop the foreigners and their evil images!

I think anyone who still looks forward to new Dynasty / Samurai warrior games has been deluded by Koei / omega Force into thinking that maybe the next one wont just be a reprint of Dynasty warriors 2 with a few new characters thrown for good measure.

Not taking a shot at you dude, you could be a really great guy.

However This game series is (in my view) a joke.
The only people who sink their teeth into it and follow it like it means something are the cosplay community and that alone should be enough if a reason to avoid buying it.

It always slays me when people say America is prudish. Yes, the country that produces and sells more porn than anywhere else on the planet, where the sex industry is bigger than the regular entertainment industry, that invented the sex comedy, where 90% of television programming is some form sex comedy, is still prudish because you can't blow a guy on Friends. Cripes.

Regardless of whether it looks better, as many people in this thread have said, it seems pretty ridiculous that they saw the need to change such a small detail.

Kinda says something about the US though.

Ehm, so, this helped to save inocent kid's souls because?

Seriously! I see people dressed in less everyday! (or, well, in the summer... It's autumn now)

All the blood and gore are fine, guns, sure, here's one for free with today's newspaper, but OH NOES! It's our mortal enemy: Cleavage! Quickly, blindfold thyne kids with an impenetrable blindfold...

That would be about half an inch of extra fabric irl...

As several people upthread have pointed out, the US version does kinda look better. Is it too charitable to say that this may have been an aesthetic decision, not a censorship one?
Maybe the original art crossed the desk of someone who thought it (the clothing) looked impractical and unrealistic, but it was too late to fix it for the JP/EU releases. Or maybe that person behind the desk only had authority over the US box art. Or maybe someone thought that Americans would like the art less, and changed it so it'd sell better (female Japanese characters do tend to have absurd stripperific outfits) not because they thought they'd get into trouble.

Yeah, I'm not entirely convinced myself, but we shouldn't always rush to judgement.
