I'm going to get flame-spammed for this probably just for the name of the thread, but its a legit question.
So I've been watching a lot of old 70s-90s movies lately, and I've noticed something which I suppose is partially simply because I'm male, and partly because I noticed it. If you look at a lot of older movies from that time frame they have no problems displaying female breasts in a PG or PG-13 movie. Then you look at modern day movies, and its a demonized subject to show them outside of a European movie or R-rated movie.
So without getting into the psychological views, and all that mumbo jumbo on my perspective of this social change, I'd like to find out other people's views on this change. Why do you think movies began to avoid any display of a female's upper anatomy? Social change, political change, simply because movies changed?
Now before I get a ton of flaming about my interest in asking this question, I'm going to ask that people remain mature in this topic (to some extent, feel free to joke around), and would like to point out that I couldn't care less if breasts are shown in a movie as long as the director gets across their movie in a way that is realistic to the setting.
