Considering I'd be in the Mass Effect universe, I'd learn to use a sniper rifle really, really fast. If what we've seen in the first two games is any indication of the third, Shepard's going to need all the help they can get.
I'd sit down and contemplate what I did wrong, because I am going to die. I've just woken up in God of War.

My favorite game is Half-Life 2, so I have to hope that I'd end up in some rebel colony, instead of, say, Ravenholm.

Well, the first thing I'd do is find some sort of metal helmet, because I'm not exactly keen to the idea of becoming a headcrab zombie. After that, I'd try to find a Resistance base and probably get eaten by antlions along the way. If by some massive stroke of luck I don't get eaten by anything and actually do make it to some relatively safe place, I guess I'd have to become a radio operator, because I'm not as qualified for hunter-wrestling as the rest of the city folk 
Or I could just sit in a tiny cave and cry; maybe try to use some 1984-esque Ingsoc techniques to change my favourite game to Rock Band, because Half-Life 2 is too depressing.

I'd be in Willamette, surrounded by numerous zombies, moronic survivors and dangerous psychopaths. So I would gather supplies and build a barricade, effectively creating a safe haven from all danger and only leaving occasionally to explore, gather supplies and search for other survivors. Or, you know, just sit around hopelessly waiting for a photojournalist who's covered wars to rescue me.
Alternatively, I'd end up in Cyrodiil, where I would join up with a group of ragtag adventurers. We'd explore and discover ancient Ayleid treasures, somehow always managing to cheat death with a bunch of comedic happenings on the way! Or, you know, become a merchant. Or a farmer. Or a priest. Mmm cabbage.

Well, I don't have a single favorite, so I'm not sure where I'd be. However, if I wound up in any game I like, I would be screwed, as I currently have zero combat training.
If I woke up on the Normandy, I'd probably hang out with Garrus and bang some Asari chick before I got blown up/captured/shot in combat.
If I awoke in the Capital Wasteland, I would panic for about five minutes, then pull myself together and make a beeline for the nearest settlement to plan my next move. I'd also buy a gun.
And if I wound up on the war-torn planet of Sera, I would just cry, lie down, and pray that the Locust hordes would grant me a slow death.

I dont know where I would wake up, but I would need about a half an hour to recover from how awesome my life has become.
Ok I'm going to need a gun a lot of ammunition and maybe a grenade! Plus I'm going to need to run like hell because I'm in CoD. Although waking up in CoD would be the equivalent of waking up in real war. Only real war you get a shit load of psychological aspects to it.
I'd wake in Vvardenfell and train myself to fight and learn abit of magic to get around and explore. Find abandoned ebony mines and any other mines with various resources, make my own mining company, get rich. Help fund the Imperial Empire to regain its strength after the attacks of Oblivion.
And my overall goal will be to liberate people from slavery. Then through political influence I will strive to create a more free, safe Tamriel.
