Boots + Skirt

I'd say it's okay to wear boots with a skirt.

Depending on the boots, there's no problem with this, depending on the context. Something like hiking boots, gum boots, or those Ugg boots will look ridiculous; it is impossible for both them and a skirt to be seasonally appropriate. Some less functional boots are fine, although that seems more like an outfit you'd wear while going out than an outfit you'd wear while going to, let's say, a job interview.

As long as the boots fit. Theres nothing more gut wrenching than someone wearing skinny boots and their fat is pouring out over the top of them

Depends really.
If you're gonna wear boots I suggest wearing socks that are longer then the boots, it is what I do.

It also depends on the kind of boot. Thigh high heels with a mini skirt is more than a little slutty, but DMs or things like this are kind of cool. Unfortunately it's not a look I can pull off.

I wear, and see people wearing, skirt/boots combos all the time. It's not a problem, and looks absolutely fine.

So, my mom and I were having an argument the other day about whether or not it's "ok" to wear boots with a skirt. She thinks that you should only wear sandals with a skirt and I said that it's ok to wear boots; a lot of girls do it.

I know a most of you on here are guys, so that made me curious. What do you guys think of the look of a girl wearing boots with a skirt?
Obviously, girls' input is welcome too.

Depends on the girl,there is this one I really liked that wore boots and a blue/white-squared skirt,and I thought she looked amazing.She also wore some black stockings(is that what you call them?).


But the same outfit can look really slutty i think

Depends on the weather.
If it's hot then I would imagine sandals would be more comfortable than boots, and if it's cold then boots would be better.

Errm. Sure go for it, Individuality is something lacking these days. Personally I've got a thing for long boots and shot skirts but I think I've come to this thread in the wrong mind set. I'll send myself to a corner to think about what I've done wrong.

I rather like it. However, could some one (been a guy here) fill me into the whole fur boot look, you know those really naff light brown coloured boots that seems to be quite popular here in the UK.

Ugg boots... *shudders*. Not a fan of those. The whole skirt + boots thing is otherwise fine though! Even if the combination has moved from being alternative to being very mainstream. Still looks good!
