Jello shots are good-- recently helped make a few batches of these for a party. I think we made them wrong, though-- ended up being way too hard to get them out of the little cups. Still, they got the job done.

I'm a big fan of Tequila shots right now, though when I'm out for some relaxing drinking, I back off after one or two and nurse a Vodka Sour or a drink called 'Temptation Island' (it was invented in a gay bar. seriously. there's no other way a drink could be named that). It's very fruity tasting, but can hit hard if you go too fast. It consists of equal parts:

Malibu
Capt. Morgan
Pineapple Juice
Grenadine
Amarillo
Trip Sec

When it comes right down to it though, I'm pretty picky about what I drink. I won't touch beer, and wine or champagne only rarely (and only if I've sampled it or know it's one I like), and some hard liquor just isn't to my taste.

Long Island Iced Tea.
My friend and I made 2 litres worth of home-made LIITs, with about 1.2 litres of that being pure spirits. After the second glass I don't remember much of what happened for the rest of that day.

I live and work in a pub with over 130 beers on at any one time(about 50 on draught and the rest in bottles), and I'm impressed with the numbers of Sleeman's Honey drinkers here: it's a great beer. My favourite out of all the beers we've ever had, however, is Rodenbach Grand Cru. It's a dark Belgian ale, full-bodied, quite sweet, but with a strong sour taste. Other favourites are Cantillon Gueze, another sour beer, fermented in open tanks which draw in airborne yeast, and Fraoch Heather Ale, made from a supposedly ancient recipe for heather-flavoured beer. All of them are a bit different, but definitely give them a try if you get the opportunity.

I always enjoy a beer, favourite being Coronas. However more often than not I will sit down with a Strongbow Classic which is very refreshing.

In regards to harder alcohol I tend to stick to Vodka and Gin as much as I can but I don't mind having something else if nothing else is left.
