There are other classes besides the mechromancer? Let me know when the game actually comes out. Seriously though that class is the only reason I'm even still thinking about Borderlands 2

It just looks better in every way. The variety in gun designs is staggering, enemy types are through the roof, customisation options are more intricate.

It's everything I could hope for from a Borderlands sequel.
I know, I'm watching IGN's Gunzerker and Siren preview vids on Youtube and it looks soooooooooo much fun.

Hoping it actually has an ending this time, instead of a giant vagina monster boss fight. :p
It was certainly anticlimactic :D

It wasn't that much of a deal for me really, I mean, the characters were hilarious and there were some great moments, but the story wasn't really why you played it.

It was for me, because I was expecting a chance to actually loot the Vault, not get loot cock blocked at the very end.

And I may also be bitter about it because my friend got a bloody Skullcrusher from it. XD

Your fiancée is an intelligent woman you should be lucky to have her. Because she's right on the money with Salvadorr.

Dual Wielding your guns? Hells yes, beat ass like Brick? Hells yes.

You people can have your squishies, I'm sticking with the beef.

She's the whitest, 5"2' girl in the world and she always goes for the huge characters :D

Because it's not whether you're a Gunzerker on the outside that counts.

It's whether you're a Gunzerker on the inside :D

I actually want to try out Axton the Commando. He looks like a more mobile Roland. Tank, but faster.

Probably the Siren again assuming there's some SMG specialisation. All my favourite weapons in Borderlands were SMGs. I don't mind so much that the special has changed; Phasewalk was OP as fuck, but it wasn't all that fun to use. The damage skills you could spec into didn't actually do a lot, so it was just an oh-shit button really.

The Gunzerker looks very interesting though.

Commando here - you can keep your fancy powers and slick moves; I've got a pair of automated heavy turrets. :p

Okay, so with Borderlands 2 just over the horizon, I thought I'd ask which character class you guys are liking the look of and which you'll probably play as first.

Me?

Siren all the way, baby! :D

Love her look and her skill set is looking damn sexy too.

My fiancée, who I'll be playing splitscreen coop with, loved Brick in the last game and she squealed like a little girl when she saw the Gunzerker in action, so that's sorted :D

Least interested? Axton. He just looks like another run of the mill soldier, nothing about him shouts out to me, so I'll probably leave him well alone.

So, how about yoy guys? Hyped about the game?
I want the mecromancer but until that girl comes out, it will be the soldier.

I always played as Roland in number 1, the turret was just so damn useful. Ammo and health dispenser, missile launcher, (I think it hits pretty hard, especially when you use artifacts), can be good with assault rifles and shotties.

Of course this says nothing of the new soldier or his turret, still pick him though

Either Zero or the Mechromancer. Stickin with Zero till I hear more details on the Mechromancer, but chnaces are I still end up playing her. I dunno why but using the D374-TP just sounds like fun. I mean c'mon a Deathtrap as an action skill, what's not to be excited about.

Axton, because in the immortal words of Roland "I love this damn thing!"

And I think Tiny Tina's going to replace Scooter as most epic NPC ever

Until the Mechromancer comes out (I've already pre-purchased the game on Steam) I'm going with the gunzerker, as I played Berzerker o my PC playthrough of the original, and managed to get him to level 69.

Sounds like you never used Radiance and Phoenix. You're right about the Phasewalk being an "oh shit" button, but it was a lot more than that. There were boss fights where I didn't even need to shoot anything.
OT: I have no fucking clue. I played through Borderlands with every single character and loved them all (except Brick. Fuck him and his no-weapon-XP class skill). Every single one of the BL2 cast looks even more playable than before. In fact, that is one of my greatest fears about BL2, that it might be too long to enjoy every character.

I want to wait to see if there are any loot chests on release, but I'm going with zero or salvador. I feel compelled to try Axton because I played Roland in the first one, but he is pretty boring so I prolly won't.

Well... I played Mordecai in the first one so I was tempted for a similar class before they announced but THE MOMENT I saw Zero I though "Oh sheesh...." because I guarantee that at least %45 of starting players are going to roll him.

So i'll probably go for Axton, as I played one playthrough in BL1 with a soldier and I thought it was pretty fun.
