I was planning on buying Borderlands 2 long before it was announced. I thought there was literally no way they could fuck up the sequel. Seeing the very first gameplay videos only affirmed what I thought the game would look like. It's everything great about the first Borderlands multiplied by 10, with all the negative stuff about the first game subtracted from the equation. Unlike many other sequels this year, which overhaul most game mechanics and replace them with dumbed-down or unfinished ones, Borderlands 2 is simply fixing and improving everything about the first game. The A.I is better, the environments are more varied, there are more enemies, more guns, more quests, more NPCs, more of everything! The only people I can think of that aren't buying it are the ones that simply don't like the Borderlands formula to begin with, which is totally fine.

If you'll go over to the official forums, you'll see there's practically no dissent or outraged fans. There have been no major developer screw ups (unless you count the Girlfriend Mode thing, which is a really stupid thing to get worked up over in a co-op game), no dumbing down to attract the lowest common denominator gamers, and no rushed deadlines. I'm honestly going crazy over all my anticipation for the game. So, who else is planning on buying it?

It's either Borderlands 2 or Dishonored in October.

I did like Borderlands, but not enough to spend $60 on the sequel and most likely miss out on Dishonored.

Yes definitely, the game looks pretty much identical to the previous one, but slightly improved in every aspect that was lacking last time, I can't wait.

I also didn't have a problem with 'Girlfriend Mode' for the DLC character, perhaps not the best name, although it'll be useful for me since my girlfriend likes games but is really quite bad at shooters. So this will give her a way to get involved while still feeling like she is contributing something important to the team. Also, I will probably play through it with that character myself at some point anyway haha.

Yep Yep Yep Yep Yep! Of course I bloody well am! For one thing, it's actually a proper PC port this time! Another thing, the whole thing just looks like the epitome of badassery and gun fuelled awesomeness. So yeah, I'm excited.

I've already preordered it for the Mechromancer.

Afterwards, I saw the trailers and felt entirely justified. That was a game that needed more wub wub.

Haven't pre-ordered it, currently busy improving my Internet celebrity status, pre-ordered Halo 4 limited edition.

It's going to be a while until I get Borderlands 2...

Oh yeah, Dishonored. Might get that as well.

Have no idea, so many games coming out within the next few months, with not huge amounts of money to spend, I'm definitely going to have to pick and choose, definitely up there on the list though.

I want to buy it, but I'll be away from my gaming rig until early December, so all of my friends will be level 50 by then. No point in playing single player either.

Pre-ordered it a few days ago from EB Games. I simply can not wait to play this game co-op with my best friend.

Eh, I'm losing my tolerance for spending $60 on a game. I've been getting burned a lot lately. Very few of the $50 or $60 games I've bought had I really felt that they deserved to ask such a price.

I pre-bought it on Steam during the promotion that brought its price down 30%. Can't complain with 30% off and free access to the first paid DLC.

Very much looking forward to it. The person I'll be playing Co-Op with is almost assuredly going to play as an LMG-focused Salvador, and I'm probably going to play as an SMG or Pistol focused Maya. I played as Lilith the first game, so I can't wait to see how Siren plays this time around.

Haven't kept up to date on Borderlands 2 at all, but I really loved the first game, so I will pre-order it. With Borderlands 2 and Dishonored October will be an awesome month. <3
