Perhaps more weapon interaction?

Right now, all you can do is use it or sell it. Why not let us disassemble the guns, to Frankenstein our own ultimate kick-ass gun?

"Let's see... Take the scope from this one, the clip from this one, this one's shooting fire capabilities and voila!"

They need to keep Mordecai he is by far my favourite. Fun to play and a crazy personality. Maybe balance the vehicles a bit more, fights became a joke when you could just run anything over.
Played Secret Armory yet? Oh, and General Knoxx is perhaps the most awesome character ever. Every time he spoke, I stopped with everything and I was sitting there in awe for several seconds thanks to all the nonsense he spews.

More vehicles, with mounted guns for multiplayer, perhaps flying vehicles.

A story, Borderlands 1 was just an excuse to shoot the same 20 enemies over and over again.

Oh, more kinds of mobs, not the same ones over and over.

JoshGod -- "improve the snipers
they move around too much and have the slowest bullets seriously even offline the lag on bullets is rediculous try it."

You had a bad gun, the bullet speed was a feature of each type of gun. Some had such good bullet speed it was instant. (just like FPS games) Sight sway was the same, a feature of the gun. Get a good gun.

2 MUST KEEP the 2-player splitscreen. No one has splitscreen anymore. It was the only reason I even played Borderlands in the first place. If I hadn't seen that it would have splitscreen, I would have said "meh, just like every other shooter out there."

maybe you should get Vladof or a Malivan instead of Jacobs???
Vladof and Malivans have great damage and great firing rate
While Jacobs has huge damage but low firing rate.

Dedicated melee weapons. Not bayonets, full on melee weapons.

No more desert xD

I Couldn't help but only play it for 30 mins at a time because the environment was boring me.

It had everything else I like to see: Humor, Action & Guns

MOAR DAKKA!

Some new vehicles too. I haven't gotten very far, but so far all i've seen is the standard car with rocket/machine gun types.

the character you play refues to let the vault stay closed for another 200 years, so he tries to find a way to get into it. he meets various people who provide him the materials needed to get into the vault ( in return for a few favours of course) and then you have to get past a group of bandits who are also trying to get into the vault.

A better inventory system maybe with a better gun comparision system as sometimes it wqas hard to tell if the gun you picked up was better or worse. I never bought the game but played a lot at my friends. So keeping splitscreen is a must and maybe make it so if there is too much of a gap in character levels the the lower level character gets a boost to help them instead of merely being cannon fodder that has to be revived every two minutes.

MAKE IT NOT SO DAMN REPETITIVE!
God I hated doing pretty much the same stuff over and over and over. I quit at about LVL30, all the missions were bland and the same. It was either retrieving stuff in a deserted wasteland or killing stuff in a deserted wasteland...

a) A decent story. Well heck, any story at all would be an improvement.

b) Decent GUI.

c) Less repetitive grinding.

d) A decent ending.

e) An interesting setting.

f) Dump the whole thing and spend the money on actual good game.

...

Okay, okay, apologies to the Borderlands fans. Half the people reading this probably feel exactly the same as I do whenever I see someone bagging out Portal or BioShock. But Borderlands really didn't do it for me. It felt like a dreary MMORPG disguised as a lacklustre shooter.

A plot.

I liked borderlands but it was pretty much just try to find the vault and when you do a random monster pops out with a face that looks like female genitals. It was a big WTF moment.

More talents. I always thought there were way too few of them in the game.

[sub]Oh, and more special abilities for each character![/sub]

A story is all it needs.
No it doesn't.

q Diabls don't need a story any more complicated than "See that guy, he has loot, go and biff him until he drops it".

What Blands 2 needs is better balance between weapon types, because as it stands launchers, repeaters, and eridian weapons are all a bit poo, better class balance (Brick is poo), a more coherent drop system (Crawmerax is the only rewarding boss), more world uniques like Skyscraper that are present irrespective of you having a quest involving them.

I would also like them to have a weapon slot system like gems in Diablo 2, but with things like sights and magazines and barrels and stuff, so that the base weapons are still randomly generated and you still have the "what's going to drop this time" factor which is the actual attraction of these games (Hint: People still play Diablo 2, and it's not for the story), but you also have the extra personal customisation of your gear.

Step 1: Add story. Seriously, some freaking motivation and actual events would go a long way to make it a much less boring experience.

Step 2: Add more than 3 enemy models. Fighting the exact same guys FOR THE ENTIRE GAME is mildly insulting. The Shotgun Midget was kinda funny the first time, but after realizing that they comprise roughly 30% of the game's hostile population, it kinda wears itself out.

Step 3: Some variety with weapons maybe? Especially since you brag about your game having a bajillion weapons, when in reality you have about half-dozen with Diablo-style randomized stats. Before someone calls me out on the "unique" weapons that shoot rainbows in wavy patterns and whatnot, I was reffering to actually useful weapons.

Step 4: Some variety in landscape. Having your game take place on a flat brown plane for roughly 75% of game time is NOT good level design. Even Fallout 3 had more variety...

Basically, make a game that doesn't suck this time around...

I think customizable weapons would be nice. Like the missions where you would scavenge for parts and make a weapon, so you can make a revolver with a scope and a blade on the end doing corrosive damage.

no i dont mean the fire rate i mean how fast the bullet travells through the air from the gun to its target. There is ussualy a one second delay.
