In this thread we talk about what guns in Borderlands 2 we will use the most.

I will be using lots of Torgue and Vladof, that's for sure. The dream of a rapid fire rocket machine gun has been truly realized in borderlands 2, and using it to kill armies of robots, giant gorillas and bandits will be absolute bliss. Gunzerker class with dual torgue/vladof guns will make short work of anything except terramorphous the invincible perhaps.

I'm gonna use Tediore for when I'm out of grenades, probably a Jakobs because damage...Torgue are the ones that switch between fire rates when zooming in and out right? If so they totally Torgue. And maybe Bandit because huge clips are good.

My ideal loadout would be a Gunzerker with either a Tediore or a Bandit SMG in one hand, and a Jakobs shotgun as my primary. S&S was my favorite manufacturer in BL1, as lightening and extended mags go hand in hand. While the design of Bandit guns are a U-turn from the golden gaudiness of S&S, I think that procedurally generated improvised weapons are going to be awesome.

Also, who wouldn't want a shotgun that the player can spam to their heart's content?

A bit off topic, but does anybody know what Dahl's deal is in this game? I know the general attributes of each manufacturer except for them.

Torgue only deals in explosive weapons. Every Torgue shoots rockets. Even the rifles. Even the snipers. All of it only uses rockets.

I know that borderlands 2 switched the manufacturing companies around a little, but in the first game torgue's were a sort of middle ground/high ish power weapons. They were not exclusively explosive.

Still, they statistically had more explosive elemental than other manufacturers, even in the first game. I can see it fitting. Honestly, players don't need that many manufacturers that only produce conventional weapons. I love the new variety.

Then which company is it that now changes fire rate when aiming down sight? I saw it in a gameplay video, it was a certain company...Ah well, the point is pretty clear.

Beats me. Maybe it's Dahl, and both of our questions are answered.

That depends entirely on the type of weapon :D

Revolvers/SMGs, I want Maliwan, something with high elemental effect.

Sniper rifles, I want a Jakobs or an Atlas.

Everything else is a case by case basis.

No preference.
Despite their best attempts and intentions, I would never limit myself to one or even two gun companies.

I'll be using which ever gun's are best/better than ones I already have.

Stats over logos.

Logos add stats. Some people like the stats associated with one logo more than those associated with another. Then there's Tediore, which is probably going to work really well for me since I'm one of those types that ALWAYS reloads early.

Plan on mainly going with Vladof. I like my bad guys EXTRA dead.
Or Maliwan, for when ya want em extra crispy.

Supposed to be more towards state of the art military stuff, typically good all rounders and some models have burst fire.

I believe Vladof rocket launchers equate to being a one-man WW3, a rapid fire rocket launcher that shoots big rockets even if it costs a lot to maintain and eats through my ammo quickly would be a very powerful asset.

Dahl. That's the manufacturer I remember using the most. Make every shot matter. That, or S&S munitions.

I thought that was Jakobs, the guys who allow you to fire their guns as fast as you can pull the trigger.

Sorry, should have stated my point better.

What I meant was those sort of stat differences were supposed to be in BL1. And if they were, I never noticed. I never could tell what company a gun was from just by seeing the gun itself and it's stats.

They said they fixed that in 2, but I'm not counting on it.

It wasn't even consistent in the first game. Maliwan was supposed to be the elemental gun manufacturer, but I found elemental guns that were not made by them, kinda diluting the whole point of having specialized manufactures in the first place.

If you're reading this with a smarmy, or anything resembling an aggressive tone, don't. I'm as calm as a kitten right now, it's just because I can't use the tone of my voice through the internet (obviously), it just seems like I'm being a dick. (I'm not ^^)

Final bit of back on topicness, I would love to proven wrong about the manufactures in the sequel though.

They have high recoil reduction, which is pretty great for sniper and assault rifles as well as SMGs.

Yeah but their damage and fire rate is average.

Recoil reduction is something that I never really cared about personally, since as long as I aim in their general direction I will hit them and I can always buy more bullets anyways.
