Dahl. That's the manufacturer I remember using the most. Make every shot matter. That, or S&S munitions.
Sadly S&S isnt in Borderlands 2, their thing (Massive clips) has been replaced by Bandit Manufacture :(

Still I can see myself using Vladof and Bandit the most seeing as Vladof and S&S Munitions were my favourite manufacturers in Borderlands 1

Maliwan/any non-Maliwan that deals heavy elemental damage like the Orion in Borderlands.

I'm not a fan of revolvers, but I use a Defiler because its SUPER EFFECTIVE

I don't think I'll use Tediore much due to my preference on when I like to reload. I would waste way too much ammo.

I'm not a fan of burst fire, so probably won't use Dahl much.

Torgue sounds good, but I don't like the new paint jobs on them. All racing strips and checkered patterns.

Jacobs new fire rate system sounds good, but most weapon types tend to fire FASTER than I can pull the trigger. Will make for some really fun shotguns though. That will mitigate the usually crap accuracy of Jacobs and usually slow RoF of shotties. Well I prefer the shotties that can fire 5 times in under 1 second, but its good to know if I find one with a bad RoF it won't really matter if its a Jacobs.

Vladof will eat through too much ammo for me to want to use them much. That's one reason I prefer elemental weapons. One shot can do a TON of damage over 10 seconds or so, it tends to stack, and it can effect multiple enemies if they get caught in the area it procs. As opposed to a minigun that leaves you out of ammo after 2 or 3 badasses.

Hyperion sounds great, but in practice if you are going full auto you are probably not concerned with accuracy at that exact point. If you are wanting to use a shotty or smg to spray a group its gonna get less and less effective as you go, but single targets will get messed up.

Bandit, assuming you can get over the bad spelling, will likely turn out quite good. Large magazines and probably some pretty interesting designs.

But like the last game it will end up being which ever manufacturer had the legendary you want to use. Oh and I'm gonna be rockin rail guns all day every day when I get one :D

Vladof fire rate means it oddly enough may be better for snipers that SMGs or machine guns since rapid fire crit-hits. The rapid fire nature of vladof means that it will be better for less rapid fire weapons since a rapid-fire shotgun when you got a swarm of psychos running at ya is the best thing ever.

Elements are something that I don't believe Maliwan has a monopoly on, they more just make all their weapons elemental while everyone else makes some or none of their weapons elemental. For instance you will never see an elemental Jakobs, but a elemental Vladof could happen.

Whatever is written on the best gun that drops, sadly the game makes no notable distinctions between any of it which is quite the missed opportunity.

I'm not particularly picky, but I have a soft spot for Jakobs because I like being able to reduce enemies to scrap/salsa in one shot.

Most likely Maliwan due to the Very High Elemental effect chance those weapon have (Hellfire in B1 beats Pearlescent!). Vladov and Jakobs are a second and third choice for me though.

Until I find a semi-auto Hyperion, gonna stick with Jakobs. Just need to find an accurate mid-to-long rifle and a shotgun to back it up, and I'm happy.

I just sorta use whatever based on stats. I don't even know offhand the difference between the weapon manufacturers, though I know it's fairly significant.

Vladof snipers have minigun barrels. I've seen it; it's amazing. They don't really make for actual sniping as much as they do long ranged support. Think a long-range LMG with high power and a small clip.

Speaking of which, Torgue shotguns look like the greatest thing in the history of ever. They fire rockets. Multiple rockets. 10 or so rockets per shot. How is that not amazing!?

Call me ignorant but I'm just going to use the ones I find I end up liking. Sure, I could take a bit more time to learn which manufacturer suits my purposes best but I'd rather just figure it out as I play.

Maliwan. Because when you wanna light something on fire use a Maliwan!

(or however the quote goes, bah...)

Ah shit, now you've got me trying to remember that other quote, 'if it takes more than one shot, you're not using a...' D:

OT: I can't remember what manufacturer I like most, but the explosive/acid shotguns are always a safe bet, with me.

For those of you who don't know much about Weapons Manafacturers in Borderlands 2, I grabed ths from the wiki

New
Bandit brand weapons - Bandits themselves have started making their own weapons. Their weapons sport the largest magazines in the game.
Returning
Jakobs weapons will fire as fast as the trigger is pulled.
Tediore weapons have a different feel for Borderlands 2, having been described as "Cheap, plastic pieces of crap" and "Wal-Mart guns" by Randy Pitchford himself during a demo presentation. Instead of being reloaded, Tediore weapons are thrown away and explode like grenades; the more ammo left in the clip, the bigger the explosion. A fully-loaded gun regenerates in the user's hand after the expended weapon is discarded. Due to their explosive capabilities, there is a chance they will explode in the user's hand before throwing it away.
Vladof continues with their tradition of weapons with extremely high rates-of-fire. Vladof weapons have variable numbers of minigun-like barrels and feature fire rates that increase as the trigger is held down. The more barrels the weapon has, the faster it will fire.
Torgue weapons will feature Gyrojet ammunition which, similarly to BL1's Carnage, trade area-of-effect damage for low projectile velocity and reduced magazine capacity.
Dahl's guns will focus on stability, precision and burst fire, and feature camouflage coloring. All Dahl guns feature a full auto fire rate without scoping in, while scoped in the gun shoots in bursts.
Hyperion weapons will retain their customary high accuracy, with a "sci-fi" styling, featuring glowing elemental effects and bold stripes. Unlike other weapons, the accuracy of Hyperion weapons will increase the longer the trigger is depressed.
Maliwan weapons will retain their focus on elemental damage.

Dahl suits my playstyle the most, but I'll use anything good.

Sounds like my exactly like my kind of gun. Precision when you need it and then spray and pray when they get in your face.

I'm gonna be stacking corrosive and fire with Maliwan's guns regardless of the class I play, the DOT from them in the first game was broken as hell and I loved it when I got overran with shit, made second winds a hell of a lot easier to pull off.
