Borderlands Dialogue

Did anybody else find it a little funny in the beginning of Borderlands when the Gaurdian Angel says, "Would you kindly perform a diagnostic on that little robot to see whats wrong with him?"

I thought it was an interesting reference. =-)

I didn't get the refrence. The game was still a blast to play though.

I did enjoy TJ's lines though. "Hehehehe you shoulda seen the look on your face!" That made me laugh a bit considering he's blind!

There were quite a few references, such as the mission of sinking the ships for Skipper, the ships called "Righteous Man" "Great Vengeance" and "Furious Anger".

It was a generally fun game, but it was soooooo many games rolled into one.

The Tannis Journals. OMG they are hilarious. And yet kinda sad. I was feeling kinda bad for her inbetween ROFL. And the broken Claptraps. I could listen to that for days. Kills me every time.

Fact: any game, movie, book, so on, that tries to sell itself on being funny by directly saying somthing is suppose to be funny (quote: "you will be met by a FUNNY LITTLE ROBOT") will fail to do so.

Clap trap wasnt the worst character I had to sit through and he was kinda funny in an ironic kind of way but overall I thought he was kind of corny.

Claptrap is annoying. It's fun to watch it get hurt.

But there are a lot of more things funny. From the comments character makes after killing a bunch of enemies, or dialogues with some of the NPCs.

There's a lot of puns and references in Borderlands, of course I recall none of them besides the one stated by OP but yeah, cool game with some nice jokes.

I laughed so hard at that. One of my favorite lines is when you hear Claptrap talk to you over your ECHO and he says, "Hey there, Crazy Earl has more jobs he'd like that chump vault hunter to do!" Just claptrap's voice saying that is just..amazing.

I was happy to finally be able to go into his house, since the whole time before that the door had the option to open but it wouldn't.

I loved the fact that the game took soooo many different pieces of other games and threw it into it. Obviously a fallout flair especially with the bobble heads. Thats off the top of my head me and a friend of mine found a ton on our first play through of it.

However my favorite dialouge was from scooter. Something about his mother and a car and riding the hell of it.

I did not get that reference but I did get the other references in the game,such as the two references to Space Balls.
