Though I have to ask (and I'll probably get mainstream'd for this)....but wtf is borderlands? This is the first I hear of it.

Mainstream'd will be the new meme, I can see it already.

Best way to describe Borderlands is 4P (4 unique characters), cel-shaded, Fallout 3, without Vats, with loads of guns (in fact, that's been their main marketing boast).

Bit of a mouthful but that seems to be it. Seems to shaping up quite nicely.

True, true, your other posts are very well written, but you have to admit the title leads one to believe that the post will go something like this:

That's the beauty of it, people are rearing for the hate, but they get the humour instead.

But ya I am really happy that I stumbled upon this game a few weeks back because now I am looking forward to it more and more each day. Even though gearbox hasn't done a great job advertising this game it makes it that much more rewarding to have found a game that should be a GOTY contender.

Shame its being released in between the two casual games though. But kudos to Gearbox for not running scared at the sight of them, I really hope it pays off.

I haven't heard of Borderlands much, but now I'm interested in seeing how this game turns out. The promise of several thousand weapons (is that true?!) will either turn out to be the Achilles' Heel of the game, or the one of the (if not the) greatest thing it has to offer.

Unfortunately, I have to be very selective in what I buy next year. A lot of promising games are coming out, and the only one that is definitely on my list is Starcraft II.

That was a very nice vid! But damn you, now I'll have to get Borderlands, a game I was just interested in before... I remember reading about the switch to cel-shading and thought 'this can go either way.'

And still 1 week, 6 days, and 15 hours to go before the PC version on Steam here!

This is very true, but it's like a week I have to watch all my friends with lackluster computers playing on it on Xbox Live.
