Borderlands Manual Fail?

For anyone with the Xbox 360 version of borderlands, take a look of the control map towards the front (pg. 6) Now it seems to me that the D-stick is pointing to the L analog stick, and the L analog stick was pointing to the D pad. Sorta like a PS3 controller.

I doubt many of you care, but i thought it was interesting.

Yeah, it's in mine too. Maybe they originally made it for PS3 and got too lazy? Most developers are too lazy to get editors for their manuals, although I don't know anyone that actually reads one. I can find at least one typo in each manual usually.

Well I don't normally but if I get a new game and I'm excited about it, the manual can be sort of a "coming attraction" thing, also they can give you helpfull tips sometimes, they have they're moments.

I cant post a picture, but imagine this- The arrows pointing to each control on the controller show where each command is located ( A-jump X-reload, etc). The arrow pointing the the Left analog stick shows a D pad and the arrow pointing to the D pad has a circle with L in the middle, showing Left analog stick. So they got their labels wrong.

meh that's not half as bad as the omnimusha 3 pc manual.... (which had instructions for the ps2 version...)

Ah got you now, I was not firing on all cylinders for a sec lol
But yeah probably just a label fuck up, or a computer misprint...course they could have just outsourced the graphic work to a country where the controllers are ass backwards....unlikely but probably more entertaining than the truth.

I proably wouldn't have seen that on my own. I do read the manual every once in a while if I'm watching my brother play and even then I don't bother with the controls since I already know how to play the game.

Just be glad the error was in the manual and not a script that is required to run right before the end of the game.

haha ill have to check that out. doesn't compare to the uncharted manual. my bro was looking thru it and it skips from pg 13 to 18. and then 18-22 are in twice, right after another. pretty damn botched manual there, haha

You think that is bad. Check out a manual for Two Worlds on 360. When it launched, my roommate bought the game and I skimmed the manual. The screens it showed for all the menus were completely different from the in game screens (looked like they were beta shots, as some art looked like placeholder), and at least three times the manual said "Press Spacebar to ..."
