> More types of guns.
> An actual storyline (not exactly necessary, but it would be nice)
> Balanced PvP.
> Fix the bugs before you release DLC. There's simply no reason to release new content when the old content is broken.

Apparently, from one of the podcasts I listen to, there is talk about a Borderlands sequel sometime in the future, because Gearbox Software has copyright/bought the license for the name of "Borderworlds".
It's common practice for companies to do this to avoid rip-off games from appearing, like how Activision trademarked 'Guitar Villain'.

I'd like to see more areas, less loading times, an actual character customization, and vehicle customization beyond a paint color and a different turret.

And i hope this time they STAY cool. The intro was fine, but the whole game after that there was nearly no characterization or dialog or noteworthy NPC's or ANYTHING else other than shooting people in the face.

But maybe if this game sold good they will spent more money now and hire some voiceactors and a writer... (Yeah, RIGHT... hiring an WRITER bwahahaha)
I thought the story was good...but they could have made more cut-scenes instead of forcing you to read the text in the quest-log.

I'd welcome a sequel any day, so long as they keep the splitscreen in.
To stop me having to make another thread- Is borderladns worth having if you almost entirely game by yourself? (live account expired and cant afford another, friends dont really game when they comeover)
It's OK on it's own, but the game isn't really living up to its potential.

That they copyrighted Borderworlds suggests that the idea is on the table, but far from that they're actually going to go for it.

Granted, Borderlands already is about 98% MMORPG. Quests? Check. Loot? Check. Levels to grind? Check. Zoning? Check. All they really need to do is shoehorn in a massively multiplier infrastructure.

I saw a post once that i'd like to put here.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

cant remember where i saw it though xP

A sequel would be awesome! The fact that they bought the righs for Borderworld seems like a good fact for me.

I'd love to see some more weapon variation, like flamethrowers and miniguns. Different looking shotguns and different looking machine guns (combat rifles). Maybe different weapon sounds for different weapons. All shotguns sound the same, all combat rifles sound the same and so on.

i love borderlands and i can only hope a sequel will be much better. id say 1.5 to 2 yrs best time for a sequel. ie, it won't be anytime soon

they just announced the second DLC, 2 more skill points as quest rewards, 3 new battle arenas (hopefully something repeatable along the lines of 'horde' mode) and they are adding storage for weapons!!!! WOOOO HOOOOOO!

I have a feeling that if they do make a sequel it will be better than the first. Their has been a lot of criticism about the lack of dialogue and story and I bet that the sequel will take that into account. They really don't have to change the gameplay at all, all that coding is done. I think istead of worrying about getting the gameplay to how they like it they will focus more on story and making it more RPGish. I could see this being one of the strongest sequels in recent years because there is so much to improve upon while the first game was awesome.

Why the hell does everything need a sequel these days? This happened to me with Deadspace as well. There is no need for a Borderlands sequel, there is no need for a Deadspace sequel and there is no need for a Super Mario Galaxy sequel.
I actually bought Borderlands this year thinking "Well at least I won't have bought ALL sequels." Come on Gearbox, go off and make another awesome game that is completely unrelated.

Aslong as they've got someone to replace Lilliths ass with i am fine. I mean literally. If there is no hot girls in it then it's a no go.

I'd love this, if they added a "Weapons Smith" feature, so you can loot parts of guns as well, and makesomething fitting and awsome.

After all if it's after the story of the previous one, being 1000 (or was it 10000?) years later, and the vault is a comin'. I'd like it if it involved other planets, or a more diversified Pandora.

Also all of the monsters need to look evolved, and stronger, That means I want some skags with more bullet protection, and a way to boost forward when running, and I want enemies that FLY and drop acid or something from above, and are very hard to take down, EXCEPT if you get above them, or chuck a nade.

Also some reference to the original 4's grave would be cool, maybe you can take one weapon from your previous game, or do something like they did in AC2, and have it as say "Liliths Armor" or "Liliths Gun Part" just something to add and improve a current gun.

Man I hope this is a sequel name, and not just a place holder so no rip offs can ensue.

Borderlands was a fun game. It deserves a sequel, I just hope they can fix the repetive game play. If they can, then it will be a definite buy for me.

Gun creation, character customization, a slightly more diverse selection of vehicles/guns/enemies, and voice actors for the funny. Not necessarily a story.

Ladies and Gentlemen, is this not the perfect game?

I'd like to see a better system link system, I don't like having to have 4 xbox's and 4 tv's, why couldn't it just be 2 xbox's, 2 tv's, and two people on each playing splitscreen. It was a ton of work trying to system link that shit with friends.

Just a small gripe, but other than that I think the only thing that I'd like to see in a sequel is better fleshing out of the story and better story telling, voice actors, a reason to care about NPC's, stuff like that.

Fucking awesome game and I'd certainly welcome a sequel after many many kick ass DLC's, so you know, like 4 years from now.

'Nuff said.

That game will be awesome. I'd pewrsonally like a more open world-ish level design, and more guns. Character creation would be nice.
Really? You need more guns? 87 bazillion wasn't enough?
In all seriousness, the sequel will be utterly awesome. Maybe in that the rocket launchers won't suck so much.
