Out of curiosity (I don't have this game yet, but I've really considered it) how is this game? And tell me something more then "It's fucking awesome!" I've heard it compared to Fallout 3 and Diablo (good enough reasons to at the very least consider it), so tell me what you think.

It's fun, but it takes a bit of time to get used to.

Yeah, I'm still having trouble with that.

I hate that my friends are trying to give it RPG aspects that I don't want for it. They were trying to tell me I was using my attacks in the wrong order, but if it becomes like WoW where you've pretty much got an order you attack in for the whole game, skills may begin to stagnate into easily recognizable combos that will either kill you on contact or you'll dodge.

I love it. The co-op aspect is great, the art style is great, and the humor is great. Plus, with 4 classes and many ways to play each, I should be playing this game for a while.

Tell them you'll play how you want. At its heart its a shooter. Shoot things to kill them, there is no right order for shooting.

I love the game. The main thing that stick out for me is that I'm generally kept challenged throughout the entire game so far. Because of the leveling system, things stay nice and balanced for the most part. Granted it's started to teeter a bit more now that I have some very nice equipment and I've learned my way around it and gotten used to aiming on the console again.

If you like rpgs and/or Fallout, you should love this game.

The game makes me feel ballsy, I'm a lvl 10 Sniper, and I've solo'ed all 3 rounds of the arena.

My Secret?

Good sniper, Good shot gun, HELLA good 4 shot machine gun (Fires 3 round bursts that total 400 dammage) and infusion grenades.

Oh and my ninja skills, I just jump around them, my only problem was the ****ing spitters lowering my shields.

As said above, it is generally pretty great. I haven't finished my first playthrough yet (I have only been playing it split screen with my buddy and we have both been busy the past few days) but so far I'm loving it. My only problem is while most of the skills seem balanced, they pretty much all seem to lack a strong impact. Maybe that is just me though.

Well PC gamers got the big royal shaft and can't connect to other games online so me and my friend are stuck running around on single player while we have been waiting a while to play together. The game is great but gearbox better get this shit fixed fast so co-op will be up and running soon.

There ARE RPG elemetns in the game, but they're incredibly lightweight. At the core of it all, what you have is a FPS with a lot of loot. The story is garbage, the world and all of it's characters are utterly unlikable, but these things hardly matter.

As far as "using attacks in the wrong order" goes, I hardly know what to say. I'll often choose to apply a corrosive or incendary damage over time to the really tough opponents before I really start to work them with my super-high damage physical weapons, but that doesn't significantly alter the experience. At the end of it all, my success or failure is determined almost entirely by my level with respect to my enemies and my ability to shoot people effectively without being shot in return.

It's pretty damn awesome, had some trouble at first but got used to it and now I kick ass.

If you do the side missions to level up to the recommended level it says on the mission description you really shouldn't have a problem.
