Due to Steams recent sale, i picked up Borderlands. A game that ever since release i just, missed. I wanted to play it for so long and Steam finally helped to end the wait for the game. I love it. Ive done 1 playthrough already and i want more. So this means Borderlands 2 has jumped right up the list of my most anticipated games.

So would anyone like to play some Borderlands? Or even anything else for that matter on Steam, my account name is theresevoirdog.

Lets play.

edit, im on PC btw.

I have it on Xbox, but I have to ask if you have any of the DLC?

The Armory of General Knox is amazing one of the best DLCs ever made, its an expansion that adds a ton of new stuff, like new vehicles, new locations and new enemies. Not to mention you actually get to raid a vault in the DLC, unlike the original ending. I recommend getting it if you want more to do.

Just don't get Mad Moxxi's under-dome riot. Its awful.

Yeah I got it too. So is it a good pc port? I haven't downloaded it due to the steam summer sale murdering my bandwith.

Edit:Thanks everyone for your answers.

Having played both, I prefer the PC version, though that may just be because "pc fps > console fps". I can't see any technical or gameplay difference beyond controller vs. keyboard and mouse.

It's not the best port Lost, but it works and is fun. It's best if you get a few people to play with, and all of the DLC is great. Well, Moxxi's isn't as fun, since it's more arena survival than anything else.

I also got Borderlands during the Steam sale, and while I haven't played much of it yet, it has been a lot of fun so far.

I think it's a compelling case on style over pure graphical fidelity, because the game looks great; Gearbox have packed so much character into the game just by the way it looks.

I tried it during the free weekend, and was disappointed to find that it still hates my AMD quad core. :(

I don't have it on steam, but I play it on XBOX. Borderlands 2 is anticipated for me as well, I have it on preorder.

Excellent port. My only complaint is that there are no v-sync/AA options, but you can fix that by messing with graphics card options.

On it's own it's an okay-ish PC port. The one big issue I had with it is the fact that in a first-person shooting game, they don't let me adjust the FOV and I dislike the standard FOV.

Luckily with http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Borderlands I was able to use the config tool to adjust the FOV and even skip the very annoying unskippable intro movies.

So, as long as you can get the config tool to work for you, I'd say the it plays pretty well on the PC.

I loved it personally, although I did overplay it a lot. Got through it about three times in a month with a mate, so we were both jaded on it eventually. However Borderlands 2 has gotten pre-orders from both of us.

The hype train for this has pretty much smacked squarely into my face and is going backwards and forwards over it. :D

The Doomsday trailer for Borderlands 2 is just awesome, wether you like Dubtstep/Electro or not its still awesome (for me im more metal/hardcore etc but i love some Electro now and again).

Claptraps one of the best robot type buddies in gaming or just annoying? For me its the former, they do indeed make me chuckle.

Well there's a couple things about the PC port that kinda suck:

1) Gamespy arcade for multiplayer: Nuff said.

2) Lack of bindable keys.

3) Driving controls are fucked until you get used to them.

Those are mostly nitpiccks, game is fun as hell. Unfortunately, I got affected by a gamebreaking bug that Gearbox flat out said they won't fix because it's "not an issue" so my 2nd playthrough is stuck at...

Meet Tannis in the Crimson Fastness, she isn't there. Evidently I grouped with some random who had modded his game and created this bug and it's impossible to fix unless someone else hosts a game while we're on that exact quest so it will be fixed

Also for reference: this is the stuff that's still in, as pointed out, it was a lot worse before.

Oh boy, you haven't even seen the best of it yet.

Download the "Zombie Island of Dr. Ned," "Secret Armory of General Knoxx," and "Claptraps New Robot Revolution" DLC's. Don't bother with Underdome Riot, it's just a boring wave mode. Claptrap's Robot Revolution isn't an amazing DLC, but the sense of humor is great. Zombie Island and Secret Armory are some of the best DLC's period for a game. Zombie Island has a fantastic environment, loads of different types of zombies, and is a fun twist on typical "zombie" games. Secret Armory has dozens of hours of new quests, tons of new enemies, and a buttload of guns. I'm glad you enjoy it, but unfortunately I'm on PS3 so I can't play with you.

I loved all of Borderlands until I got to the end, then when I was done with that I was so disappointed at the game that I sold it the day after.

I was planning on preordering anyway, but this video basically had me smiling for the next three hours. :)

I would highly recommend going on the steam forums and looking for the tweak guide. Don't know about you, but the FoV made me sick.

Also make sure that you remember your gamespy account and id before you make a new one, will save you a lot of time. Who the hells idea was it anyway to put Gamespy into ANYTHING? It's the crappiest piece of crap anyone ever crapped. It's also connected to IGN, which is another crap on its part.
