I just wish you could make your own dude, i dont know why i just dont like playing an open world game like fallout without being able to make my own dude..im wierd about it

I know what you mean. But I think it's kind of refreshing. I usually spend way too much time customizing my character.

It seems fun, and i got a tenner off the price by pre-ordering, so I hope it's good. Also, i want to play some more co-op friendly games, rather than halo all the time, or counterstrike, or pretty much every game that i seem to buy where being a douche ALWAYS pays off.

Teamwork in COD4 < going solo.
Teamwork in R6 < going solo.
Teamwork in L45 < going solo. (on expert anyway, you can most of the time just rambo through)
Teamwork in RTS < going solo.

Hopefully, the mumorpuguh element to this will make teamwork more fun and useful.

Haven't paid attention to it since.

Some FPSs are great fun... Borderlands looks like it could be very enjoyable as it has a lot of nerdy numbers and stats to keep the brain ticking.

An extremely addictive, four player coop experience, with loads of weapons, RPG elements and looting sort of like Diablo but in FP? I'm in.

I feel the same way. If I'm going to be spending obscene amounts of time role playing in another world, I like to able to tailor the character to my own tastes and play style.

And it's nice and narcissisticly fun to watch yourself being a badass wastelander...

I heard someone describe it as a first person RPG. It reminds me of Ragnarok Online but that's the only MMORPG I really enjoyed so I'm sure you can relate it to sometihng else.

On topic, it looks freaking amazing. I'm about to go and preorder it now and I can't wait.

I just found out today that it's coming out a week earlier than I thought it was. So far to make up for lack of funds, I'm trading in all but one PS3 game that I own, several DVDs and my right Kidney. It'll be worth every infected black-market stitch

Otherwise, it's like a Fallout 3 clone with more FPS'ing, which is really neat.

I think everyone that has played the game says that the comparison to Fallout 3 stops after the broad concept of the game. That being said I think that the gameplay will be more similar to Hellgate London which to me had great gameplay but lacked in almost everything else which is why the game failed. Hellgate had serious potential but the terrible levels that all were essentially the same and bugged to hell online ended up leaving a sour taste in everyone's mouth. Being a sandbox game, Borderlands will not suffer from the same things Hellgate did.

I never said it looked like hellgate. I was just trying to say that the gameplay will be much closer to that of Hellgate than Fallout 3. Fallout 3 wasn't really a shooter as you mostly relied on VATs and the percentages working in the background to determine if you killed an enemy. Borderlands will have the run and gun type of shooter that was hellgate where you upgrade your weapons and stuff and relied on your own twitch skills more than anything.

hard to decide between this and MW2. eventually i'll buy both but prolly gona buy MW2 first for the MP, borderlands will be a funner SP game.
