the mixing parts sounds good but some limits like you cant put a mega drum magazine onto a frame thats very small.
All I'd want for that is the ability to switch out scopes and clips, from say a Vladof sniper rifle to another Vladof sniper rifle.
i'm gunna say my idea was to have that with a few cross company changea.ble parts

I just got it recently, been playing about 10 hours or so, and only seen like 3 different enemy typed. humans, skags and flying bird things. Not to mention the boring totally forgettable environments. They should rename the hard quests to impossible, an area that has a few skull level guys hanging around is just ridiculous. It's like i'm playing an even more boring version of world of warcraft. Pick up quest, kill 10 boars. overandoverandover.

Revolvers don't jam nearly as often as a magazine fed handgun and they are easier to maintain.

You can also get quick loaders [http://www.speedloaders.com/images/adphoto.JPG] if you are too lazy to load them one bullet at a time, and the quickloaders are much easier and more comfortable to load than a magazine.

Your hate of revolvers is unfounded and sickening.
Aggressive... they just don't feel cool to me. And since we're not discussing real world application of weapons but a game, I think I'm entitled to that preference :p

And quick loaders are used for pretty much any gun I saw in Borderlands, it doesn't solve the issue... it's just not something I like.

It's 'preference' hate, not 'oh they're useless' hate. Like I hate tabbed browsing. I don't hate it because it's inefficient, stupid and useless on the overall, I just don't like to use it myself.

Well, they could stand to fix hit boxes. That's one issues I've had while playing.
Otherwise, considering they boasted such a large amount of weapons, you would think that they would have included a bank in the first place.

Also, they could have made the the currency counter a bit larger. It bothers me some that I can never see the total amount of my money. It doesn't make death anything special when I lose 9,000,000 and have no clue how much I had to begin with.

For the second game I personally want them to add some form of weapon modding system into the game. Just adding small attachments to improve the gun to a small extent. They could also actually add melee weapons. (or hey, add bayonets)

That's about it. Well, and different or improved classes.

I thought Borderlands was a hoot, especially as a Diablo fan.

In many ways Borderlands was like the original Diablo, so a sequel could be improved in the same ways Diablo was.

More varied level design, more than one active skill, livelier towns, and a greater degree of customization would all benefit Borderlands immensely. Focusing on randomly generated levels and enemies seems like it would be a worthwhile endeavor as well, certainly more worthwhile than trying to do a good story.

I doubt Gearbox could pull it off at the level all the Bioware fans on this site crave for anyway, but that doesn't matter to me as long as I'm having some fun with the run'n'gun and some fun obnoxious Texan attitude.

For BL2: Online splitscreen, more guns, lots more stuff, more RPG stuff, more awesome.
Why the hell would you want online splitscreen? Splitscreen is horribly tedious when you do inventory management; that's a reason why online play is great!
Because maybe he would like to play with someone in the same room as him, possibly with someone who doesn't have the game maybe? You know, some people have friends outside of the internet, maybe you should look into that.
Whoa, no need to be an asshole about it. It had never occurred to me or my friend to try going online while in splitscreen. I just assumed it already had that. My complaint about the cropped menu in splitscreen still stands. It brings the experience to a crawl when I have to keep panning the menu just to compare weapons and items.

Hasn't anyone here ever gotten stuck somewhere and not been able to get out? Because i've had that problem quite and I find it a pain that I have to keep reloading my game to get unstuck which means waiting through the loading screens over and over.

Borderlands had mediocre combat, only gave you the same five of each type of weapon with slightly different stats, had far too many fetch quests, and generally was unfun.

Although I enjoyed the Zombie Island one. They need to just do that.
Interesting. You dislike fetch quests and mediocre combat, but enjoyed Zombie Island, which was basically running from one end of the island to the other, collecting brains on the way and killing slightly more specific zombies when you get there.

And you played DLC for a game that was "unfun?"

Horribly balanced game. Some skills and guns are horrendously overpowered, especially in tandem, while others have barely any impact. Some enemies hit/tank like dump trucks while others seemingly fall over in the wind. Bosses are pretty universally lame. I understand it's challenging to properly balance this sort of thing, but c'mon. It's a big game, sure, but it's not exactly WoW.

For the sequel, I'd just like to see more parity with guns, classes, and skills and a nice, even difficulty curve. Oh, and the ability to play 2-player split-screen on-line.

Buy a MIRV grenade mod to kill yourself and re-spawn. That's the solution I've found.

I know this is a weird thing, but me and my friend thought it'd be epic if you could have four people on the basic Runner cars. The two like you already have, then another two hanging onto the sides that get to use their regular weapons.
We thought of loads of stuff to put into the second, but I forgot it all now... why couldn't this thread have been made like three weeks ago when we'd just been discussing it?

Thoughts on the first game? Epically addictive, got all the achievements in a month. Sadly, that's not left me with a lot to do on it until this new DLC comes out.
Very good game in my opinion, but certainly room for improvement. For example, more information on the characters. Found out a load on the Borderlands wiki that the game didn't even mention. Mordecai being a detective and Roland hunting someone down and all kinds of crazy shiz.

As a sound geek, I want a larger variation of weapon sounds. Considering the variations in power and size and the different elemental properties of each gun it is annoying that they all sound so similar. Also the weapon sounds currently used are pretty boring. Make them cooler.

Make explosives worth a damn please. Grenades and rocket launchers are for the most part pretty rubbish.

I think weapon animations should correlate in a more convincing way with reload speed - for example a fast reload speed is just the normal reloading animation in fast forward, and a slow reload speed is just your character being a plonker and reloading really slowly. If a weapon has a long reload time it should be justified by having a complex reloading animation. If they made a few reload animations per each base gun (eg. slow speed, normal speed and fast speed) and made minor alterations to the speed of each animation per gun I think it would look more convincing.

This will have been said before, but I was very dissapointed by the ending. Just make it better.

I don't think the story was that bad. I just wish they had a little more character interaction.

The ability to scrap guns that you find for parts, which you can use to build or modify guns you already have would be nice. Let's say you find a really good sniper rifle, but you can use the barrel to complete your badass combat rifle that you're building. It would add an element of choice to the game, rather than just someone being lucky enough to find/buy a super awesome gun. The same could work with class mods, with the ability to swap out parts to get the one that suits you the best.

Also, more variety in grenade mods would be appreciated. In the end, they all ended up pretty samey except for the ATL-Rain grenades.
