You can always take up MMOGs, or Sims. Then, all the other games will seem shit in comparison :D
I actually still pay for wow. And even that is boring now. Iam just waiting for Stor mmo to come out. WoW got boring fast, and most other mmo's are fail.
Interesting. Have you considered the possibility, that maybe it's not the games that are wrong? Maybe it's you. Depression? Bipolar disorder or something? That makes people lose interest in stuff, and view the world as a dull, grey and boring place...

I myself can always find some game I like, even for a day or two, but there was no point in my life when I was bored of ALL games. Think about it.

Music, art, sports, social stuff, movies, porn (either watch or star in one), surfing the web, spend time with/get a girl/boyfriend, read books, become a master cheff (not chief)...
You do realize that noone if forcing you to play games if you don't enjoy it right? theres tons of other things to do.

Na dude I do plenty of other things that are fun. I just find it so strange that games are no longer that interesting anymore. Games have always been a part of me in life, so its weird that I am bored of them. But I guess my best option is to try out world of goo or other odd games like that to spark interest back.

i know what you mean a few years ago games lose interest, but after a while i started to play games again: even though they felt similar. Now I'm back in the games(you just lost the game).

I felt like that today. None of the games in my house interested me, only the ones I've lent out to people. As is life.

Find a new hobby, then. There's no point in doing something that no longer interests you, right?
Learn an instrument. Or become a pimp! Or take up drugs...

I have more suggestions if anyone need 'em.
I could use some more suggestions since im a drug-taking pimp who plays guitar

I have been playing games since I was a small child. Playing on my sega genesis. But now.....there is like no games at all that interest me. Every game just feels like all the older games I played with better graphics. Iam in a slump for video games right now, and I am wondering if other people feel the same way. Last game I bought was street fighter 4 on the 360. And it got boring really quickly as well.

The solution is to play older games; that's what I do. I got bored of most modern games quite a long time ago, and most of the games I play now were designed for Windows 98. I think the newest game I still actually play is Oblivion, and I haven't even played that one in months.
I understand you very well. A few weeks ago I bought the Sega Genesis Collection and the Samurai Showdown Anthology to find that I enjoy them so much more than the releases of the last 3-5 years. There were few exceptions, the more immerging ones being artsy games like Flower, Braid or Shadow of the Colossus. It's time to let creativity flow back into developer's gameplay designs. Until then it's retro for the win!

I resorted to playing my Genesis more. Either that or I find that it's fun to just mess around on the Wii Virtual Console.

Im in the same boat. Ive played pretty much every Genre, and fewer games impress and content me.
Lets hope I don't have to take up another hobby.

Play a genre you haven't a lot before. if you play all the genres take like a month or 2 off. It should seem more fun after that. I got many hobbies if i am bored with one hobby i do another.

I'll second http://www.gog.com/ which has a wide variety of games, very cheap, surely something there that will grab your attention.

I'm going through this also. All I was really playing, was TF2, Killing Floor and COH. But with the recent TF2 update, I'm never playing it again. Killing Floor is fun but got old, and COH I got over.
So I bought X3: Terran Conflict, Re-installed Oblivion and D2, and went a bit crazy with indie games, I.e Aquaria, Darwinia, World of Goo, Dangerous High School Girls. I'd recommend GOG too. You can find a heap of sweet free indie games if you look well enough also.
Do this, stat...

play something you never tried before, a game that breaks away from whats in now
pick up a sleeper hit or two, or go for one of those amazingly innovative games
or you could find something else to do

Get out and do things. Sports, music, social life, job, etc... And try different types of games. Try MMOG or MMORPG. They are majorly fun and have a wide variety. Mix it in with the old combination and you'll have joy in the game world again.

I've felt this way for years. I didn't realize it, but it was declining ever since 2000.

The only games for me nowadays are Morrowind/Oblivion for the single player action, and Starcraft and Halo PC for multiplayer. I'll get the Orange Box, Call of Duty 4, and possibly Modern Warfare 2 (if it's out) by the time I buy a new computer.
