My brother actually beat him the first time, then saw me lose when I fought him on my second playthrough. His response: "Oooooh. Now that cutscene after the fight makes so much more sense."Kopikatsu said:The first boss you fight when controlling Ziggy and MOMO in Xenosaga.
The fight took FOR-FREAKIN'-EVER...but then I found out later that you were supposed to lose that fight.
Even easier: Be a Lancer and have Jump, plus the skills you listed (Yell, Auto potion). Cast Yell several times, then Jump. One hit, one kill. Velius shows up, but your speed is so high that you go first. Jump again, and because you're so fast, you come down right away. Again. One hit, one kill. No damage.Arsen said:Wiegraf from FFT.
Setup:
Squire (Primary)
Monk Class (Secondary)
Auto-Potion (Reaction)
Two Swords (Support)
Move-HP (Move)
Now get rid of every potion in the inventory minus the X-Potions. Run around and cast Yell or Accumulate. Velius shall be easy.
Ninja'd, also from the same game I realised after a while that rather than having a sniping duel with wolf out in the snow, I could just hide round a corner and use Nikita missiles.Grabbin Keelz said:Psycho Mantis. I wish Colonel would tell you that shit a little earlier before you get mindfucked into the stone age.

I had to pause and take a break after 30 minutes of trying. Came back, owned him.
I was going to say this. First time I did it, I had the strategy guide out in case. His spheres turn red (fire), I summon Shiva, use Diamond Dust, does 99999, kill in one.FalloutJack said:'Ere, I got one. Final Fantasy X, Seymour's last fight.
So, I get this guy...who has been a TOTAL ***** to deal with every time I see him, and now he's a soul in Sin claiming - laughably - that he's going to take over Sin from the inside. RIGHT! SURE! Idiot... And then, of course, I have to remember that this guy is STILL a ***** of a problem...until I see that most of his attacks will come from the Wheel Of Elements! Four of them!
Yup, you guessed it. Without wasting time, I summon an Aeon and said beastie is nigh-invulnerable to him THE ENTIRE MATCH. Hell, I even hear that using an Aeon of the opposing element kills him quicker! And does he even do much to stop this whole shebang? Nope! What an idiot...
I beat the final boss in one try, simply because I remembered that the cores on GLaDOS in Portal 1 were all over on the body. Applying this type of logic to most sequels gets you very far, my friend.Lieju said:There has been several, but one recent one was in Portal 2 boss fight.
When you have to attach the first core, I, for some reason, thought I'd have to put it where the main core is, and wasted several attempts in that.
Also any battle with a time limit is going to make me panic anyway.
So I got to hear the Space Core being happy about SPACE!!! for many, many, aggravating attempts. So I very much came to hate the little bugger and wanted to kick his little metal butt straight to the moon.
I am by no means above using a guide if I get stuck. Didn't need a guide for any of colossuses...colossi?...colosses? Whatever, I didn't need a guide. I almost needed one on the early one that was like a giant praying mantis thing and you had to go through the tunnel to get behind it. I tried this once and it didnt work so I thought that wasnt the right strategy, then I ran around confused for an hour, tried it again and got pissed that it worked.paintman said:#3 Colossus XVI (Shadow of the Colossus) Reason: anyone that tells you they did it without looking up the strategy is lying
Also there was a big flashy red light where you are supposed to put it. And a splash of the blue gel where you're supposed to jump. I was just being a moron.TLS14 said:I beat the final boss in one try, simply because I remembered that the cores on GLaDOS in Portal 1 were all over on the body. I thought he said that because the place was falling apart and you were about to die.TLS14 said:Also, interesting fact I found out on the Combine OverWiki this weekend. The Space Core can actually get bored of space if you wait long enough. "Meh, don't like space. Wanna go to Earth. Wanna go home. Wanna go to Earth."
