Everyones favourite difficulty spike in Diablo 2, Duriel.

Small arena. Super Aggressive. Holy Freeze aura. No fun allowed.
short of super over-leveling, I don't know how people solo that bastard, everyone I know always grouped together, opened up multiple TP's in different areas of the arena and we would all die 5-10 times until he died.

OT: surprised there hasn't been any "heh, you think he was hard? git gud, beat him first try on lvl 1 with no items/clothing/weapons" posts yet, these threads almost always attract those people.

Most of the ones I would've said have been posted, I'll switch it up a bit:

Rogue legacy: all of the bosses

I'm not the greatest player in the world when it comes to these games, but sweet jesus the timing and precision required to beat alot of the bosses is just brutal, one tiny misstep and BOOM, half your health is gone and you better hope you only make one or two mistakes max during the boss battle.

His difficulty depends on the build, I find. Characters like double swing barb, zeal pally, are pretty good at killing him without much problem.
But Sorcs have a tough time because they still haven't gotten that great of skills yet.
Summon Druids get absolutely destroyed. He stopped mine in his tracks. I gave up on him, Duriel would one shot all my wolves.
Summon Necros do it pretty easily, it is just tedious, because you need to resummon your army about 5-6 times. No real chance of dying though.
You should be able to slowly whittle him down with any class at around level 20-21 (which is usually the level I am at when I get there). Just be on point with your tps!

The most annoying is when you use all your potions, then tp to get more, and as soon as you reengage him he hits you with 80% accuracy and there goes two rows of potions, better tp and get more!

Bosses. We've faced our fair share of them.

But sometimes, bosses go above and beyond other bosses for their fight.

Sometimes, bosses pull nonsense like this.

One of my personal favorites is from Bravely Default's final boss...
Ouroboros, who destroys parallel versions of the planet. Not to attack, but to heal. And does so multiple times throughout the fight.

So, Escapists, what are some of your favorite over-the-top tactics used by bosses, final or otherwise?
I'd give special props to the KH2 version of Sephiroth, who can easily kill you in one hit if you aren't careful or overleveled. It's instantaneous as well. Most of his attacks are lethal.

Sans will kill you right off the bat if he can. He doesn't fuck around, and tries every trick in the book to stop you.
