bowgun users in monster hunter tri

why do i feel like im the only one who uses the bowgun online is there a reason for peapole not using it?

well, let's just say that for most people there's a certain charm in swing I giant oversized sword in a semi-realistic way and see monsters fly away upon impact.

nah I kid, it's probably because with melee weapons you are in the heart of battle and people like that. Not saying bowguns are bad! Just not so adrenaline filling I guess.

Because the bowguns in Tri suck compared to the bowguns in previous games and beginners hardly ever use bowguns. The experienced hunters are probably not going to use the downgraded bowguns and the beginners are not even going to try.

I used to use heavy bowguns all the time but the bowguns in Tri are worthless to me.

The romoval of gunlances, dual swords and hunting horns also sucks. Tri really dumbed things down, I can't wait for Freedom 3 which is bringing all the old weapons back.

I don't know, bows just aren't very gun to use. Insanely oversized swords are cool, though. Hell, I'd even go so far as to call them great

wait there is hunting horns and gunlances i have plyd the first monster hunter so dual swords are nothing new but gunlances im definatly getting freedom 3 when it comes out

Yeah gunlances hunting horns and bows have been around for a while, they were in Freedom 2 and Freedom Unite. They took them out of Tri for no reason.
