I can kind of see how this may be an issue considering your field of view changes rather significantly with the chance of the player being able to look behind them.

If it were me, I would make it some kind of equipment you had to get and would only work for some time during each match and possibly would be unable to target anything with. Just my thought.

i told you so, i failed to respond back to your follow ups because i knew it was for naught,

the game has officially gone the way of star wars galaxies

people are actually leaving the game in droves and piranha games is attempting to silence and "moderate" so this won't be obvious, but it is.

this is the biggest mess since Sony Entertainment Online's Star Wars Galaxies FIASCO.
and not for lack of reason

there's no point trying to defend them, they developed the multiplayer component of duke nukem forever (which was a lot worse than the single player if you can believe that!)

and now they're killing their second long lived gaming Intellectual Property in the span of 2-3 years.

Piranha Games Incorporated, "the franchise killer".

my bad, i forgot to mention one other game they developed for the PSP, called need for speed undercover> PSP

this is the verdict from IGN's review, you can check it out yourself at IGN's page.

"This review is short, but for a reason - there's nothing exciting or notable about Need for Speed Undercover on the PSP whatsoever. The formula is essentially that of an old list-based racer with zero substance or style, faulty controls and piss-poor AI. There's no draw here whatsoever."

if this was on the playstation or PC instead of a PSP title, rest assured the need for speed franchise would be dead now

Mechwarrior Online is due to have it's "proper release" in about 1-2 weeks or so and their ship is already sinking. (read link to article above, not just my analysis)

i have to urge you not to spend a dime on it, not even try it because they will inflate the perceived ammount of people playing the game on a regular basis.

this is by far the worst game i have played in my life, without any exageration, even if it was acceptable for a little while.

i am now closing this boycott chapter for PGI (they're killing themselves) and opening another one to flood Microsoft with petitions to take the Intellectual property away from them.

the team behind PGI, mainly Russ Bullock, Bryan Eckman and Paul Inouye are grossly incompetent, and they're not only hurting the franchise but some of their own employees such as the talented Alex Iglesias, who i hope can get a job in the gaming industry after all is said and done, because i don't think Inouye will be hired ever again at least.
(Bullock and Eckman are their own bosses it seems, and Eckman's shady business schemes are partly the reason the game is going under)

Well, I've never heard and will continue to never hear about this company due to lack of fucks given about it. Consider it an addition to the boycott, cause I'm not using their products.

I have no real stake in this discussion, but I do find it oddly refreshing that after ages of hearing shouts about how the gaming press is in the pocket of major publishers and how every review score is bought, someone insists that the gaming press run a smear campaign of dubious merit on behalf of the consumer.

I dunno... I'd rather play a 3rd Person Mech Game myself... I mean what's the fun of having a cool giant robot if you never get to SEE the cool giant robot.

Also there's always Hawken isn't there? It's locked in 1st Person I think. Though I can't say I really know the difference between the two having only played a bit of Hawken and no Mechwarrior Online.

But hell, Piranha already didn't have my money because I prefer Single Player Games to Multiplayer... so any game without a Single Player Component probably hasn't acquired much of my money.

Uhh... I uninstalled the game after about 2 hours of play, it does a pretty terrible job of explaining itself, the UI is bad, the framerate is bad, the lag is bad, and the gameplay (for a beginner?) consists of running around for 20 minutes on an empty map with a couple of other guys and suddenly getting 2 shotted by an enemy that's glitched on some mountain's geometry, so... Yeah... I'm doing my part, I guess?
