Well, bronies have stopped trying to discuss MLP on my Chinese literature forums (seriously, why did any of them ever think that was a good idea?), so I guess I'm happy everyone who likes it will have more and praying the annoying back-and-forth it generates is easier to ignore this time.
I wonder where the "Brace yourselves" originated, because, correct me if I'm wrong, he doesn't actually say that. He merely says "Winter is coming."
Forgive me for going off-topic, I'm not interested in MLP. I was merely TRICKED BY THE CUNNING RUSE that is the title of this thread! For shame!
Right.
Well, you're either lying or just unintentionally wrong about that.
Around season 1 launch was really bad though. It got to the point that people were asking for one singular pony thread to be stickied and lock any other pony threads. You could also barely get through any thread page without someone posting a picture of it.
I wasn't here around season 1 but around season 2 I really did not see more than maybe 1 pony thread a week not counting the hate threads. Because by then most of the ponytalk was done in the ponygroup that I was invited into literally 3 days after joining this site.
So yes, either you are lying or just unintentionally wrong about that.
Also, the picture stuff is just bullshit. So what? I hate most meme pictures and anime pictures so I ignore them, it is not like I have to look at them. But hey, it seems I have your back if I lash out to the next person posting a stupid as fuck Family Guy link as part of an answer.
Right.
I can tell this isn't going to end with one of us "winning" so I'll just call it off here.
Also, I find that the picture stuff matters because most threads would be dragged off topic because somebody decides to post ponies, and because they're so popular someone else responds with ponies, and we get maybe a page of discussion from the average thread for about 2 weeks.
By all means, post all the pictures you want in pony related threads, but if you're one of the people who goes into gaming discussion or threads about political matter and shit and posts a "this makes Pinkie Pie sad!" image or whatever you can kindly fuck right off.
Given the frequency of certain hot button subjects lately, I welcome the return of the pony threads,
both from people talking about the show and from people complaining about the show.

I've noticed on quite a few forums started on the discussion of the show just turn into people discussing the fandom as a whole, And sometimes that does lead to a few somewhat hostile attitudes towards it.
On that note I still can't wait for the start of season 3! been waiting for quite some time for its triumphed return to my television screen.
You know that the majority of the threads will be started by haters/ people who have no idea what bronies are. It's been said many times, but I'll say it again. The bronies on the forums tend to keep to the user group(s), only posting in pony threads when they're already made.
Note that this is in general. We do get the occasional fan started thread, but not nearly the amount some people seem to think.
On the bright side, pony threads will be a refreshing break from the usual forum fare.

On topic: I guess I'll be hanging around. No need to brace myself, because I ride these waves like a glass-bottom raft. Simply observe them from atop, and you'll ride long distances quickly. Try to interfere with them, and you'll find the current tosses you about mercilessly.
