Merry Christmas all! How did you do gift wise?

Let the bragging commence!

I had a blast. Stuffed silly. Drinking the last of egg nog.

I have an OG Xbox 1. Got the X today with Red Dead Redemption. Played through the start. Awesome.

How did you do?

Hope to hear reviews from you regarding each. I've seen a few of Lovecraft's works adapted for movies and they are great.

Edit: 14 is a novel that takes an H.P. Lovecraft world and applies it to a new, fantastic story. It was on audible. Recommended.

Shouldn't this be in off-topic discussion?

Oh well. As long as we're worshipping consumerism and the big jolly man who uses elf slave labour, I guess I can list my haul:

BOOKS

-The Bear and the Nightingale

-Dictionary Stories: Short Fictions and Other Findings

-The Witcher: The Last Wish

-Fire and Blood

-Skyward

-The Great Cave Rescue

ELECTRONICS

-The Orville: Season 1

-Defiance: Season 2

-The Sopranos: Season 1

-Soul Calibur VI

-$50 JB-HI Gift Card

OTHER

-Socks (which I really needed actually)

-Various chocolates

Orville has been great. Season 2 should be starting up shortly.

I mostly do audible books. You'll have to let us know which books you like best, especially if they are in that media.

EDIT: BTW: Good socks are a favorite gift for me.

A bunch of t-shirts (of which I needed badly. I wear like the same 2 or 3 shirts all the time.) One based off the new Gorillaz Album, a Rick and Morty tshirt, Kingdom Hearts, Tokyo Ghoul, and Sailor Moon.

An Anki Cozmo. Adorable little thing really. It's neat you can control it while viewing through its camera. Was a joy to annoy my cat with for a bit.

Bayonetta 2 and The World Ends with You for the Switch.

I got a new headset, but there seems to be a bad wire because it keeps cutting out when it's wiggled around, so we're sending that back on the Warranty. It was the Logitech's G933

Two original Turok: The Dinosaur Hunter and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil strategy guides that I used to read as a kid. What a nostalgia trip that was.

Rocksmith 2014 for PC, I've always wanted to try it.

Some Overwatch Pillow Cases.

I have a Nier Automata figure on the way. It's lost in limbo shipping apparently.

And I bought my brother a VR headset, which I consider a partial gift to me because I finally have someone I can play VR games with quite often. Forgot the controllers needed their own bluetooth receiver though, so we're heading to Staples tomorrow to grab one...

And then about $200 in cash.

Not to mention the diabetic nightmare worth of candy, both Japanese and otherwise.

And I bought myself a bunch of Kahlua and Irish Creme, so I'm a happy man.

A blue hoodie.

An "as seen on tv" air fryer/rotisserie oven.

Just Cause 4.

Well, they are slightly better than oven fries.

Let's see:

Tetris Effect
SNK's 40th anniversary collection
Detroit Pistons shirt and hat.
An electric heat blanket.
An Aztec pattern throw blanket.
A T-shirt and long pajama combo.
A pack of three different body sprays.
Some house socks.
And a long-sleeve flannel shirt.

A bundle of 4 movie tickets of the "SUPER" variety. The local cinema chain has recently equipped some screens with "premium equipment", but none of those are even close to where I live! While I'm going to The new IMAX-theater tonight (still at my folks'), I don't have to take one from the gift bundle yet (there is this loyal customer promotion thingy).

And I got Christmas money. Nice for a poor university student. Now I can get my own gifts. Or buy food.

Just Cause 4 is on my radar.

Microsoft gave me $10 credit for some reason. Star Wars Battlefront II on sale for now for $10 so I got it from the Microsoft Store and will down load it to my X. Whatever else is wrong with the game, I think it is going to look pretty.

Gift cards is all I ask for anymore, and that's pretty much what I got.

Oh, and a PS4. A relative of mine got the upgraded edition from another source and is sending me the older edition as a hand me down. Hey, it's free.

My and my gf decided to skip the gift exchange this year and pay for a trip to cuba. No having kids at 30 is great.

Well, don't bother. At least until another sale or a first price drop. By then it may be patched so it runs for more than 10 minutes before crashing to desktop. If it wasn't a gift I would have returned it instead of just waiting for the patch that makes it playable.
