First heard about Branston Pickle from ZP, and had a hard time finding it in my area of the US. Bought the last jar at HEB yesterday, took it home, and put it on the recommended grilled cheese sandwich.

Delicious. Also put it on some supermarket-grade sushi today to liven it up a little, with similar results.

Who else likes this stuff, and what sort of things do you put it on?

It's vile. The smell of it makes me leave the room. I've no idea how people consume it.

My flatmate has some in our fridge right now. It's revolting. What's stranger is she won't eat the normal pickles left over from somebody's recent late-night munchies spending binge.

It's ok, but they do another type of picallili sandwich spread that's much better. Can 't remember what it's called right now.

I don't even know what it is, other than something Yahtzee likes to eat. Well that, and that it comes in a jar.

I've never tried it, but my parents have it at home. It just looks and smells horrible.

Related note: I have the ZP Branston Pickle + No More Heroes = Awesome bit as my profile pick on my laptop.

What exactly is Branston Pickle? Some sort of pickle-based spread? Because I love pickles, so if it tastes anything like pickles I would probably like it.

From all the comments about it being an "acquired taste" though I've garnered the impression that while it might feature pickles as ingredients, it's something nasty like Vegemite and not tasty at all.

Never tried it and also hear about it on ZP. Is it an actual jar of pickles, or just pickle spread?

Maybe one day I'll try it.

Never been able to get my hands on it.

When I do, though, I'm going to make sure to save some back to spread on a copy of No More Heroes. :D

It's a lumpy spread. We have it, I've never tried it. I'm going to try some now, I'll be back to update you.

Edit: It just tastes like Salt'n'Vinegar crisps. I could have it but I don't think I ever would. I'm a jam man.

I had the middle class equivalent of Dairylea Lunchables: Cathedral City cheddar, cream crackers, and Branston pickle.
The pickle was the best bit.

I love Branston pickle, it's delicious.

Branston pickle is best with cheese... grilled on toast FTW. Good choice, OP!!

A quick spell on google produced the following, for all you condiment-restricted people. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE MISSING!!!

I make a simple sandwich, and add Branston and it makes it delicious. Ham, Branston and some grated cheddar. Lubbly-jubbly.

I've never tried Branston Pickle and judging by the comments about it if I get the chance to try it for free then I will because I also like the taste of Salt and Vinegar Crisps but I don't want to buy them.

I have heard that a side effect of eating it is something called,
"Caustic Residencies Of Selectively Hating Australian Wanker"
Also known by its common name as ?Croshaw syndrome? which causes a usually rational person to hate all games (especially good popular ones) for stupid nit-picky reasons.

As such I avoid it at all costs.

For those of you who are wondering, Croshaw syndrome is more infectious then any venereal disease and three times as deadly if you suspect a friend or loved one of having this disease, administer the following test.
1) Do they often quote zero punctuation in an attempt to be ?cool??
2) Do they start substituting Yahtzee options for their own?
3) Have they been awarded a badge by the escapist for watch a large number of ZP videos?
4) Do they hate Halo?
5) Do they own any ZP memorabilia?

If they answer yes to one of these questions then administer a swift ***** slap to the face.

If they answer yes to 2-3 of these questions then administer a swift kick to the crotch/kidneys without delay.

If they answer yes to 4 of these questions then seek professional assistance (that big black ex-convict looking dude down at the gym can ***** slap, kick and just generally fuck them up more than you can you pitiful wimpy overweight gamer!)

If they answer yes to all five questions you must immediately kill them and burn the remains.

Note: In the likely event of all five questions being answered in the affirmative you may need to seek out other close friends and relatives to find out whether or not the Croshaw syndrome has metastasized and spread throughout the herd if this is the case a mass culling may be in order.

Remember only you can start forest fires stop the spread of Croshaw syndrome!
