Walt was lovable at first, but he's become jaded and deadened to the shit storm that is whirling around him. He is a very self centered character. Which is surprising considering he loaths his legal career and life style so greatly.

He was a nobody, teaching people whom most gave no shits to a infamous drug dealer with a God-like sense of chemistry. Its gone to his head and I just don't like it. He keeps pissing off the wrong people, someone he cares about is going to eventually suffer greatly.

I've always rooted for Walt until the end seriously how Skylar acts just pisses me off. He is doing what he needs to who's to say he's right or wrong lol?
He's selling crystal meth, he watches Jesse's girlfriend die even though a) she wanted to get clean and b) it was Jesse that got her using again, he's had people killed and he's totally okay with that guy shooting a child in front of him... Lots of people have died as a direct result of his actions.

Seriously they weren't gonna get clean that "last time" thing is just bullshit they would of kept using and that girl was bring Jessie down and you could tell he was shaken up by the kid getting killed but they did what they had to. Its not like he shot the kid. As for people dying well its just how the game goes.

I honestly want them to take a Shield-esque approach to the end, just have everyone else around Walter just fall into despair, misery, and destruction and he is left all alone in some meaningless position. Maybe his hands get damaged and he's no longer able to cook up the stuff with his crippled hands and he gets stuck in some backwater town in south america teaching chemistry just barely live.

The amount of people justifying Walt's actions in this thread is scary. I would like to remind everyone that if it weren't for his Saiyan pride he could have had the cancer treatment all paid for. He's a great, well-written character to be sure, but the only reason I'd want him to "win" is to avoid the typical Scarface ending all crime fiction seems to have.

I feel about Walt the same way I might if my best friend committed a murder. I'm sorry for him, and I wish it hadn't worked out that way, but I still totally want him to go to jail 'cos seriously, he shot a dude in the face.

Ya, I still root for Walt, mostly because I've followed him from the beginning, through the good and bad, and it's hard to turn your back on a character you've followed so long. I know he's the bad guy, but come on, it's not like we've never rooted for a badguy before.

Plus when you come right down to it, most of the killing he does is due to fairly forced circumstances. Ya, entering the drug trade (and staying with it) was totally his choice, but he never made it knowing that he was going to have to kill people. From what I can tell he wants nothing more than for things to go smoothly and peacefully but things keep going awry around him.

Jeez, a lot of hate for Skyler here. She could of handled some of the shit that happened to her a little better, sure, but Walt's the one at fault here. He ruined their lives. I can't blame her.
I can't really agree with that, I think that everything that has happened to Skyler is her own fault.

Back before she knew what Walt was doing, yeah she was innocent, but the second she found out what Walt was doing she ceased being innocent.

I think it was back in Season 3 that Skyler was seeing a lawyer, anyway, when she went to see that lawyer, she was flat out told "you need to go to the police".

Skyler chose to not report Walt, she chose to keep his secret. And then instead of taking Walt to the police, or at least getting as far away from him as possible, she chose to get actively involved in his business.

She helped him come up with a gambling cover story, she helped him to launder money, she protected him and she lied for him.

And speaking of the laundering, I'm wondering if Walt would have been so successful if Skyler hadn't of convinced him to launder his money at a car wash. Saul wanted him to invest in a Laser Tag business. Skyler warned Walt that by doing that he would draw attention to himself. If Skyler hadn't of told Walt that he probably would have invested in laser tag. And that may have have raised suspicion and gotten him busted.

Now that I think about it, you could argue that she is most responsible for virtually everything, all the murders, all of the people who have had their lives ruined by drugs, everything. Because she could have stopped it at any time and she chose to do nothing.

As for Walt, I still like him. He is just an utter bastard and I am compelled to keep watching. I'll be happy if he live or dies, it doesn't really bother me. I'm I just hoping that his end is fitting and awesome.

Am I supposed to like Hank? I admit he is not as crude, obnoxious or annoying as he used to be, but I still can't get behind this guy bringing Walt down.

I am still not tired of Walt and his not too merry exploits.

But one thing has to be said, again and again: Mr. White is cooking meth. He's responsible for the untimely demise and bad fortunes of a number of folks that would be better off or just plain alive had they not met Mr. White.

He absolutely has to die. Meth is a shit drug and people that make meth are shit people. And I want shit people to be in jail or dying horribly, at least once.

Part of me wants Walt to survive, but part of me thinks that the only conclusion that could have any sort of happy ending is one in which he dies. If he survives and goes on the run, him and his family (even if they're with/without him), will be living in constant fear of being apprehended. If he dies, then Jesse can rest easy, and so can Walt's family.

However, I don't believe Hank should take him down. I think Walt should have Hank in a position where Walt is the one with the upper hand, and then Jesse will take that away from him. Despite Jesse hating Hank, Hank is a force of justice and good, whereas Jesse and Walt are providing awful products for awful people. Jesse understands that, Walt understands that, but Jesse wants out.

I haven't been able to catch up lately because it doesn't usually air in Britain, and 60% of Netflix's TV shows are at least 1-3 series out of date. But what I have seen so far, is that I still like Walt as a character - I understand that he's gone from a man facing an issue he hasn't paid any heed to before, death, and resorts to extreme means to secure his family after his death, but lately, he has been getting full of himself. And he has been a bastard. But honestly, I'd rather wait and see if he redeems his self.

It's pretty clear from the first seasons that he's a flawed man. There's even hints that he sabotaged his own potential at Grey Matter for not being able to put away personal issues. He's also way in over his head from the start. He thinks its a job where he clocks in, cooks, collects his pay, and goes home. He never factored in the rest of the shit work that goes with the business. And every time he comes up with a solution another problem arises.

I don't think they'll kill him. I think he'll lose everything he cared about, since we already know his life as "Walter White" and Heisenberg is over. Take away his family, Jesse, everything and let him live out the rest of his life an empty and hollow man.

Reading that gave me weird chills. What a dark and bittersweet ending that would be.

Great episode! I totally called the cancer legitimately coming back btw.

Walt is even deeper down the rabbit hole of fan hate with lying to Jesse so inexcusably also. Its getting harder to root for this guy, but something about the way the show is written makes me want an unconventional ending.
