Samuel Truett Cathy was a religious man, not only in his personal life but as well as his fast-food franchise Chick-fil-A. His religious devotion may have payed off as his family reports that his body has disappeared from its place of rest earlier today.
"It's amazing! We left last night and when came in this morning, the only thing we saw was a chicken sandwich with a bite mark in it! We have no doubt in our mind that now Dad has gone and joined the Holy Father in the Sky and has taken his proper place in heaven. We couldn't be more excited" said Dan Cathy, son of S. Cathy and CEO of Chick-fil-A.
We further asked what possible consequences of such an event would have for both theology and the restaurant chain's future.
"We expect business to boom from our core demographic of middle-class white Christians. I mean, they came to support us through the liberal boycott and now with this, we expect our profits to double from this. It's gonna be a white Christmas indeed for us."
"Just because my father may be a new Jesus doesn't mean we're forgetting our roots. Keeping the chain closed on Sundays, the donations to anti-same sex marriage groups, all that will still be going on" said Cathy.
