Absolutely amazed that consumers will leap to defend a company taking the 'easy' option when it comes to game making in one thread and then leap to decrying copycat cash-in-sequels in another. Have a little consistency, at least.

I'd heard about Brink not including Female avatars before, and it kinda sucks that they couldn't afford to put both male and female in, but I agree with whoever said it up there.
If it came to cutting female character models or cutting something that might hurt the game much worse it's better that they just cut the female avatars.

Those are Bethesda games, not Splash Damage games, Brink is being developed by Splash Damage, not Bethesda. Am I getting through?

Would I'd rather have more depth in one gender then pretty weak customisation in both.

It honestly doesn't bother me too much. A lot of FPS online shooters don't have female characters and they got along just fine. Just look at TF2 for example, very popular game and not a female character playable, unless you count the theories on the Pyro.

I'd rather them cut off a gener and makeing the males look well animated then to include both, dumb down both customization and animation. Not to mention delay the release of the game. Thats why DLC was invented, so developers can complete the game" later". If they want to make girls later, more power to them, but hope they focus on the product at hand, and get it on the street in time and with as few bugs as possible.

We're all individuals. Not necessarily the same people doing both.

In games like RPGs (or the Sims if you´re into that kinda stuff) the player should have the option. Otherwise, it doesn´t really matter.
