Good news, everyone! Some little girl went a broke the record for Britain's youngest murderer.

Sharon Carr, a girl obsessed with death and violence, secured her place in criminal history yesterday as Britain's youngest female murderer.

She had killed at the age of 12 - a savage attack in which a teenage hairdresser was mutilated with 29 stab wounds. The victim, Katie Rackliff, had been picked out at random as she walked home from a nightclub in June l992.

The trial at Winchester Crown Court was told that in the years that followed, Carr seemed to be exultant over the killing, and yet haunted by it. She was endlessly writing about the murder and drawing pictures of a knife.

Samples of her notes were graphic. In one she said: " I am a killer. Killing is my business - and business is good." In another: " I was born to be a murderer. Killing for me is a mass turn-on and it just makes me so high I never want to come down. Every night I see the Devil in my dreams - sometimes even in my mirror, but I realise it was just me."

Eh, the articles from 1997... but I think it's very clear that little Sharon must have been quite disturbed in a deep way and I hope that she got the help that she needed, it doesn't surprise me to read that she was neglected by her parents. I hope that she'll be able to lead a normal life one day when she's no longer a danger to society.

OT: My take on this is that she's just a sick person, who was just not constrained by any kind of sense of morality not to do it. Actually kind of scary now that I think about it. That there are people that young out there who could do this... Not a comforting thought.

actually i belive the youngest people tried for murder where two 10 year olds who abducted and killed a toddler in fact the age for which you could be tried for a crime was lowered just for them

How is this news, good or otherwise?

It's a 14 year old article about a 19 year old event. I'm sure there's lots of things that happened in the past 20 years that may be of interest to some people, but if we make threads about every macabre thing that happened in the past two decades, this forum would be inundated with pointless topics.

Besides, anyone from the UK would know that the apparent point of this thread is complete bollocks. 1 year later James Bulger was murdered by two people younger than that, something that has had lots of news coverage since it happened, yet is still largely irrelevant.

This thread is as pointless and outdated as a thread saying "OMG! The worst case of terrorism has just occurred in America. Oklahoma City was bombed!".

OT: i was reading the article... a 12-year-old girl dragged an 8st-8lbs body round a corner. i'm a 16-year-old guy and that can be a struggle for me.

Every play Skyrim? One of the members of the Dark Brothered(A guild of assassin) is a little girl. Well when I say young I mean she is really a 300 year old vampire but because of the age slowing process that vampirism incurs she still looks like a little girl.

OT: This is rather messed up. It's horrible that a 12 year old could do such things. She makes the most hardcore Emo look like a bloody fairy princecess. I hope my children don't turn out like this.

This is a strange animal. "Lacking reason or emotion" was used to describe it. I think those two things make a person. I dont count the thing i read about here as a person. I say we put it down. Trying not to impact emotional bias but this creature is a danger to everything it touches. Why its sick plans werent seen sooner i dont know. Why it was released to strike again is an unforgivable mistake. Im sickened in a world where this thing ekes a pitiful living at all.

How the HELL did she manage to get away with it for FOUR years?!?!

How did she (being a 12 year old) not leave any witnesses, evidence, or anything that would lead back to her, especially if she would later start gushing information about what she did? I mean...what? How? It's just crazy that she managed to get away with it as long as she did.

It takes a special (bad) kind of crazy to not only do these things, but LOVE doing them. I have shivers going down my spine at the thought. I hope they lock her up somewhere VERY secure, and throw away the !@#$ing key, because she is dangerous as all hell. If she can pull that kind of shit at age 12, imagine what she would do as an adult.... >_<
