Point 5 is a little stupid... I mean; it means that Captain Price is ruled out of this purely because he hangs around with other SAS guys...

I agree.

Price is a perect oldschool example of a British tough man.

I loved the cargo ship intro in CoD 4. Just chilling with a cigar in the rain.

Has anyone played the free Doctor Who Adventure Games? The other characters in that.

OT: One thing I never got; why is it that all Space Marines are English, but they become American when they put their helmets on...

OT: Wheatley. Shawn from AC:2/B.
Wheatley conflicts with rule 2... massivley
To be fair, Wheatly wasn't evil until he got corrupted, which is shown at the end. But I would say he probably conflicts with rule 4. (Even if Miracle of sound doesn't agree :p)

I'ma say the lieutenant that was Captain Badass Price's mentor in that sniper mission from COD4.
didnt he die?
Could have, I mean he survives the mission but being that the game takes place like 20 years after the flashback, maybe. You could say the same for Gaz since you never see him again and Ghost is like his replacement, basically.

These rules are tough. Was going to go for many of the NPCs in Goldeneye, but, they are among a group of British people.

A sole Brit, NPC, who's not evil, in a game, who isn't dead, and who isn't a complete idiot?

I can only think of British games. Warhammer 40K Firewarrior had many British voices but not an actual British character (In the grim darkness of the far future there is no Britain). Discworld had Eric Idle, Jon Pertwee, Tony Robinson (and Rob Brydon before he got famous), but again, the characters weren't exactly British. Plus these go against the "no ensemble casts" rule.

There was the boxer in LA Noire. He was played pretty straight actually, he sounded like he actually came from England.

Mass Effect 2 featured Zaeed, although he was somewhat of a giant prick. Mass Effect 3 is set to feature James Vega, a squadmate Shepard picks up from London. Of course it's hard to know how many of the rules he does or doesn't break at this point, but his accent sounds pretty darn natural and his character is represented as a big damn hero.

The woman in Dead Space 2? Ellie Langford or some such name.
She was English? Good lord, nobody in England sounds like that.

"British" means English, Irish, Scottish or Welsh so Cpt. McMillan does count
Actually, "British" means those who are from Britain - therefore Ireland doesn't count. Part of Ireland is part of the UK, but not Britain.

To be fair, I think the OP is trying to make a point. From what I can see he's trying to say that most British characters are reprsented as villians in an American enviroment.

I'm pretty sure that Ghost IS Gaz... he's just wearing a mask :)

I haven't checked but I'm sure its the same voice actor.

You aren't meant to think that far ahead lol. But probably because Relic have made most of the WH games and they are American, so the main characters stay British whilst the extras go American, but to be fair, Britain wouldn't be big enough to own the entire space military of the universe, no doubt America would play a much larger role, British people are just better trained (My opinion, I could ofcourse be wrong.)

3) They can not have been playable at any time

I know about Psycho from Crysis, so he's covered.
You can play as him in Crysis: Warhead though so, he doesn't count :(
I can't think of any myself.
