For the past couple of months I've had nothing new to play, no money, no games. Just stuck replaying the same games or just laying there looking at my shelf wondering what I should do. Plenty of games I haven't beaten but I'm currently not interested in any of them so I either have to force myself to just play them or let them sit there.

Has anyone else been going through this? If so what games have you been playing or what else have you been doing to get your mind off all those new releases you're missing out on.

armorgames.com, for the record.

Also, if you've ever thought about a game that you know you'd have a rough time playing, but might enjoy watching, then youtube playthroughs can be really fun. I've enjoyed some of the Silent Hill ones.

Just having internet access opens up a lot of gaming possibilities. Nexon is sporting a pretty fun action mmo called Dungeon Fighter Online now, and there's countless other free stuff.

I downloaded Mechwarrior 4 earlier this week, and I've been playing it ever since. It's totally free, no viruses, and legal since it's the developer distributing it.

Ironic. I am going through this exact same thing right now. Haven't had a new game to play in 3 and a half- almost 4 months. I'm too broke to get a new one, and I'm not interested in the slightest in beating the games I haven't. I love Tales of Symphonia and Guitar Hero to death but I can only play it so much before I want to play something else.

MW4 IS FREE

Sorry about that. Anyways, try Trackmania Nations Forever if you still have 700mb of bandwidth left.

When that happens, I just play a grand strategy game. You can lose yourself for months in those.

Hearts of Iron, Galactic Civlizations II, Civ 4. Tis all good.
Also Rome Total War.

Probably shouldn't have bought that game... who'd a thought taking over all of Europe would be so time consuming.

This is the reason I'm going to start playing chess with my friends on an every-other-day basis.

I find an old RPG that i loved and play through it again, it feels different than when you played it years ago, if you don't have it anymore get an emulator. You could maybe even play the sequel if there is one.

Find a hardcore strategy game like other people have mentioned, or go dig up some kind of addicting online multiplayer game that you can play forever.

dwarf fortress. play this and boredom goes away. hard to be bored when your ass is getting handed to you by a titan, a cyclops, and HARPIES at the same time. /thread.
This is assuming you can get past the difficulty/learning curve. This game is an amazing time killer that I highly recommend, but the entire game is in ASCII text based graphics and is complex as hell. And impossibly difficult. That being said, it is free, and downright hilarious.
Titan, a cyclops, and harpies? What about the carp? Hundreds of vicious, dwarf killing carp...

I've actually tried to play it twice. I couldn't get into it. I love complicated games but I couldn't figure out what I was doing no matter how hard I tried. Maybe I'll try it again someday.

Damn, the stupid MTX downloader won't let me get my Mechwarrior, well they've said they're working on a downloadable installer for the game, so I'll just have to wait for that.
