No, because I'm not a crybaby who feels the need the constantly be spending money on new things which leaves me broke. Not to mention my life doesn't revolve around video games. But that aside, get Sanitarium, it's freeware now and it's an AWESOME game.
Is that directed at me?

I am not a crybaby that needs to spend money on new things constantly, but thanks for insulting me I guess.

For the past couple of months I've had nothing new to play, no money, no games. Just stuck replaying the same games or just laying there looking at my shelf wondering what I should do. Plenty of games I haven't beaten but I'm currently not interested in any of them so I either have to force myself to just play them or let them sit there.

Has anyone else been going through this? If so what games have you been playing or what else have you been doing to get your mind off all those new releases you're missing out on.
I would suggest either free flash games (there is some GREAT games on newgrounds and at armor games) or some ultra cheap bargin bin games, like Plants vs. Zombies (that is only 7 dollars on steam).

Play League of Legends.

http://www.leagueoflegends.com/

It's like DOTA but better and it's free.

I hear that game has a really elitist community, is this true?

I do this a lot myself. Thankfully I have a few fallback games. Games you just don't tire of since there is so much to do. Rome: Total War was my fallback game, but it did get boring (after quite a few years).

Currently, my fallback game is Mount&Blade Warband.

I downloaded Mechwarrior 4 earlier this week, and I've been playing it ever since. It's totally free, no viruses, and legal since it's the developer distributing it.

Downloading that now. Thanks for the link. I got MW4:Vengence and Black Knight already, Mercs is the only thing I am missing from the set. Glad it is free now.

You're thinking of Heroes of Newerth. LoL's community is actually pretty casual and laid back. Sure you'll get the occasional ass now and then but I've made a ton of friends that don't care if we win or lose.

Ohh okay, I think I might look into this game some more then. Is this game going to go retail like Heroes of Newerth? or is it just a pay for benefits thing?

Holy hell, I can't believe it finally went live. While waiting for them to finish the legal debacle they were in, I forgot all about it.

In retrospect the service is terrible on DSL. Very slow downloading if at all. On two separate occasions the download restarted itself from the beginning, plus the service is buggy and prone to crashes.

Yes, but I have a huge catalogs of games I never beat when I was younger to go back and play, so I've always got those to fall back on when nothing good comes out or when I have no money.

I recommend finding some old games from last generation that you didn't get to play (or didn't fully enjoy) and find them for cheap. Assuming you have a method to play them. I'm doing this with Tales of Symphonia as soon as I can get my hands on it.

I'm hunting down old games now. I want to get a gamecube and ToS, but that game is impossible to find sadly.

Riot Games has no plans to whore out. It's only pay for benefits like skins and you can buy characters if you want but you can get points to buy them just by playing games.

Sounds good. I'll download that now and give it a shot.

It's also on the PS2 if you have one or a PS3 capable of playing it. While I'm mentioning PS2 games, pretty much any SMT game is good if you like JRPGs.
Thought the Ps2 version was only in Japan.

Recycle old games, play them again. I'm currently in the process of re-beating Gran Turismo 4. I forgot how much rage was induced in those old license tests.

If you're on the PC, look into modifications. Half Life 2 has so, so many mods on Steam. As does Fallout 3, Oblivion, and many others.
