So today while I was doing some homework I accidently flipped over one of my fingernails and when I did, it caused part of the pink part of the fingernail to break off, and I'm pretty sure thats the one part of your fignernail that your not suppose to break. So, anyways, I was wondering if someone could tell me exactly how long it will take to grow back and what I should do about it right now, because right now it's bleeding.

well do disinfect it, encase the wound in a bandage and leave for about a year, then it'll be good as new.

A year? Really? I once lost a whole finger nail, and it was back in a few weeks.

Start with typing one-handed to avoid blood gumming up your keyboard!

As far as advice goes, I once over-trimmed the side of my big toenail and it was a bit of a mess for a long time. I'm not sure how fingers differ but as long as it heals properly it'll be fine. Trim off the dead nail and wait for it to grow back.

You don't perceive the relatively troll-like swagger I've been perpetuating. Daaaw.

Why are you on a computer typing and not cleaning out the wound and applying pressure?
