Considering the patches for the DLC ruined my PS3 copy, it'd be nice to finally experience the game good and proper.

That's the last Double Fine game that's missing from PC apart from the Seasame Street Kinect game right?

Absolutely amazing game that sadly fell flat in an audience pathologically opposed to even the lightest strategy. Fingers crossed this finds its home here, I'll probably pick it up even though I have it on 360 for an improved multiplayer. If it has GFWL though I am going to break some skulls.

This is one of my favorite games of all time. I'm enjoying psyconauts right now but I like Brutal legend far better. That's not heresy is it?

Twenty seven years later?

I don't remember the game hitting it off that hard... why waste the effort so many years later?

I mean... *I* liked the game... but I also know how to ROCK!

I'm...
I...
I don't...
Wait, what?
Why are they doing this? I mean, hell, I loved the game - beaten it multiple times, actually - but I don't understand why they're bringing it to Steam now, after all this time? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. But whatever. I'll toss the Double Fine boys a bone and pick it up. Not much for PC gaming, but I can't pass up the chance to play this through again.

I vaguely remember being interested in this game until I realized it's a console exclusive, which caused me to lose interest and move on.

Too little too late. I might buy it for $2.50 on a Steam Sale if the reviews for this version are good. I don't appreciate it when developers (even as great as Double-Fine) port games to the PC years after people forgot about them.

The first hour of the game makes it seem like it's going to be amazing, but then it quickly does a nosedive into mediocrity once your forced to manage units. Can't say I care, probably won't even pick it up during a Steam sale.
This right here. The game was interesting for the first hour or so but then it got kinda boring and meh. I dunno, it could be me.

But I'm glad to see Double Fine striving. I'm still waiting for my goodie bag after backing their Kickstarter.

Oh gee, and only three years stale. Why thank you Double Fine, let me just rend by wallet in two in my rush to give you my money.

I may have cared to buy the game at one stage. Don't any more.

Good news for me, I was interested in this game at the time, but you know, no console. Will buy in the the remote hope that RDR might get a PC port if it proves a success.

Yes I am still pissed about RDR.not getting a PC release. No I will not let it go.

If I want third person strategy only done a million times better, I'll play sacrifice.
Brutal legend is awesome and all but it tried to be so many things that it didn't really hit the mark in either of them.
It is also quite optimized for gamepads so the pc version will probably be quite awkward to play.

Hold on. This is on Steam? Not Origin? *checks store* Holy crap, Double Fine is listed as the publisher! How the hell did they manage to wrest control away from EA? It took them like six years to get Psychonauts out from under the thumb of Majesco, and Majesco's not even... well, EA!
I dont know if EA actually ever owned the rights to Brutal Legend. Since they were not the original publisher and it switched to EA mid development it leads me to believe they always had them. I could be wrong but that is how I see it.

That is the biggest mistake I keep on seeing about Brutal Legend. The people who play it just dont understand what it is. Its not a third person strategy game its a hack and slash game where you also get to control an army.

Except that your hacking and slashing doesn't do shit but thats okay because you have that blatantly overpowered facemelter quick time solo while spamming battlecry whenever it wears off so it's a rhythm game in which you control an army.
It is also a racing game and an open world rpg.

Allow me to post this video for the second time today:

Between this and System Shock 2, it's times like this when I love being part of the Master Race.

Please don't buy this if you've only seem the first hour or so, or even played the demo.

It turns from what looks like a cool open-world driving and hack and slash game, into a poor quality RTS-lite.

Biggest bait and switch I've seen on the PS3, and it suckered me into buying the damn thing.

I was interested way back when I played the demo, then I heard how the gameplay is nothing like that outside that part and it turns into a RTS sorta thing. Soooorta not interested after that
