Brutal Legend demo; Is it just me, or...

Now for the past few months I've had no real call to play online with my 360, so the whole 'Gold-exclusive' demo for Brutal Legend, whilst cheesing me off, just meant that I had to wait a week or so longer for it to come to Xbox Live Silver.

Wait 'til today, in fact.
And lo and behold, there it is! But marked as a Gold exclusive.

So what gives? Was I misinformed? Are the feckless twunts who update Xbox Live misinformed? I must know!

[Edit: Okay, so it's a petty thing to squabble about, but I was just really looking forward to playing this demo - I have precious little else left in my life...]

It's a bit tacky, but I suppose it's just another way for Microsoft to ensure people subscribe to XBL.

Man, that's a shame too, because it's pretty much the most awesome demo ever. Like, this demo is better than most full games. It's really less a demo and more a religious experience. Bummer dude.

It didn't come out on PSN at all, which annoys me for several reasons (it wasn't out when I checked this morning, hopefully it will be out when I next play something)..

1. Xbox live is slow as balls here in Australia

2. My xbox 360 has no wireless card, and I'm not paying $150 for one. This means I have to unplug it and untangle the mess of chords behind dads TV (yes, my dad stole my xbox, which is what made me buy a ps3 in the first place) and physicially move the bastard to get online. Or hitch up a really long cat5 from the router, which is equally annoying.

3. Really, slow as balls...it would probably still be downloading when it was released and downloaded off of PSN

4. I actually would like to be able compare it on each different console, y'know, so as to make an informed decision as to what platform I'll buy it on...

It is on the american store. I don't know when the european one gets updated.

You should make an american account. It is not going to hurt, and you get some content earlier...

Yeah, I'm in the USA. Sorry, I forget sometimes that most people on here are not necessarily North Americans.

I always thought that Europe updates earlier than NA, or at least, that's the way it is on PSN.

Indeed, that was one sound demo! Definitely put me in the mood for the full game. Shame, there goes me trying to cut back on my games purchases for the time being...
