Ok the game is without a few of my favourite, more well known bands but to be honest it doesn't need anything adding...or taking away. The fact that it has some lesser known bands and tracks on it is part of what makes the game so damn epic, it shows you parts of metal that most people haven't heard yet. The representation of each genre is fair as far as the style of the game is concerned and the current soundtrack adds a certain level of character to the game I wouldn't trade for the world.

And nice to see some awesome recommendations from the other posters, something about finding people with great musical taste just makes me feel warm inside.

Needs power metal

Helloween, Stratovarius, Hammerfall, Firewind, Iron Mask...

Damn they really missed the target here for more epic metal.

And fuck forget bands like Killswitch Engage and Lamb of God they are not metal we need to suggest real metal only.

I think the lack of Metallica and Iron Maiden has to do with licensing rights.

Also, from what I've heard, Dio was supposed to voice the main bad guy, Emperor Doviculus, but turned it down because of Ozzys involvement.

And they managed to include Through the Fire and Flames pretty well. I'm not too fond of the song myself, but it fit that scene perfectly.
Agree about Dragonforce's song, it was perfect for that scene but if I had my way that'd be the only place I ever hear it my entire life.

As for Dio... would have loved to hear his music in this game as well as his voice BUT

Tim Curry is the best villain of all time. I was in love with that voice before I saw his name in the credits, and I can't imagine anyone else playing that part now.

EDIT: 666th post! FUUUUUUUUUUUCK YEEEEEAAAAAAA
