I was playing through Oblivion earlier, and I noticed quite a few bugs, items spinning madly about, bodies continually twitching, and enemies getting stuck in trees or walls; this got me to thinking, what do you escapists believe is the buggiest/most broken game?

Dark Messiah of might and magic: elements for the 360, got stuck in floors and walls everywhere.

I always found Oblivion to have the largest amount of bugs for a game highly rated.

I just do not like their engine one bit.
Yeah, their physics engine leaves a lot to be desired. I was glad that they fixed some of it in Fallout 3, but even that has it's fair share of glitches.

Fallout 3 is massivly buggy, so much so that it just provides entertainment most of the time.
Also Killzone was like the buggiest game known to man unless you include the old GTAs. How come the broken games also turn out to be the most popular in that generation?

The remake of Pool of Radiance. If you tried to uninstall it from your PC, it would also delete system critical files. So not only was the game buggy, it could wipe our your operating system as well.

Recently, Fable 2 is the buggiest console game I think I have ever seen. Object/enemies stuck in walls/floors. Your dog floating over terain or just through it. Interactive doors that you can in no way interact with. I also had two instances when a gate was supposed to open, but it just didn't. I had to quit, reload and play it again (the exact same way) and it magically decides to work.

My mate fell through the map in wow once-he just kept falling into blackness - he logged out and back in - still falling. He had to get a GM to teleport him back - fun to listen to him moaning and huffing.

Most of those problems can be fixed by holding down the "A" button when the game boots up before the title screen (at least in the 360 version).

I fail to see how that will benefit the game at all.

I think it empties the data cache or something, it's sort of like a defrag on a PC. Can help reduce laggy gameplay too.

Hmm, well I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the tip.

Odd, all this talk of bugs in Oblivion. I've never had a problem. I would say factory defect, but it's hard to argue the fact with three people back to back.

I believe Daggerfall was one of the buggiest. Some of the Oblivion glitches can be fixed with the unofficial Oblivion patch. It, sadly, can't fix engine issues
