I would say Soul Calibur 3 for the PS2. There is a horrendous bug for the game in which if you try to delete any of your previous save files that was saved on your memory card, the game will delete your other save files and will corrupt your Chronicles of the Sword save file.

Yeah, Bethesda are absolutely terrible with this. I cant tell you how many times in Fallout 3 Ive a) got stuck between objects and b) had a massive smudge from a graphics error completely obscure my vision and have to reload or restart the game.

Strangely enough though, they always seem to be forgiven for it, rather than say Bioware for Mass Effect where I heard many people complaining about "bugs and faults" but the only thing I ever experienced was a slight frame rate drop at a certain point in the game.

But yeah, other than the statement "Bethesda make buggy-as-fuck games", I couldnt really nominate one in particular as its not something I make a habit of remembering.

I thought Marvel Ultimate Alliance was very buggy and poorly made compared to the similar X-Men Legends games. It looks like Ultimate Alliance 2 has some potential though.

space station silicon valley for the N64 had a bug in it where a trophy on a certain level was un-obtainable therefore making it so you couldn't 100% the game. Inuriating! of recent memory though i'm going to have to go for skate 2.

Far Cry 2, Mercenaries 2, Saints Row 1 & 2 and Star Wars The Force Unleashed, were the buggiest games I ever played. None of them were unplayable for me though.

I have never noticed anyway glitches in single player for a very long time, even Oblivion and Fallout failed to conjure them, i remember a glitch where i feel through the elevator floor in Hitman:Blood money.

Mercs 2 was incredibly buggy, I almost forgot about that one.

I was playing through Oblivion earlier, and I noticed quite a few bugs, items spinning madly about, bodies continually twitching, and enemies getting stuck in trees or walls; this got me to thinking, what do you escapists believe is the buggiest/most broken game?

Fallout 3 is massivly buggy, so much so that it just provides entertainment most of the time.
Also Killzone was like the buggiest game known to man unless you include the old GTAs. How come the broken games also turn out to be the most popular in that generation?

Recently, Fable 2 is the buggiest console game I think I have ever seen. Object/enemies stuck in walls/floors. Your dog floating over terain or just through it. Interactive doors that you can in no way interact with. I also had two instances when a gate was supposed to open, but it just didn't. I had to quit, reload and play it again (the exact same way) and it magically decides to work.
Hmmm... I never had any of these problems, either I am incredibly luck or completely oblivious.

Nothing to do with what I am talking about, but that avatar is one of the few things in life I would consider truly disturbing. Like defecation pornography (trying and failing to make such a thing bearable to think about).
Edit: If anyone is genuinly offended by what I said at the end of this post, then just tell me and I'll remove it, don't report me or anything.

Evil genius still cant complete because of bugs, and of course Harvest Moon Back to Nature.
Really? I had NO bugs or glitches through all of Evil Genius, sorry to hear that you have those problems. It's truly among the best games I've played this century.

Well, on the "broken" segment, Ninja Gaiden 2 wins by a landslide, I mean come on, the game starts lagging once shit actually happens, DUE TO BEING BADLY PROGRAMMED!
I wouldn't put it down to bad programming as much as I would say that on occasion it would slow down due to the sheer number of enemies on the screen at one time (then factor in all the blood and the effects from your magic/attacks etc.), Ninja Gaiden 2 wasn't really buggy (it still played well) it just had the odd graphical glitch (which is forgivable in my opinion).

Grand winners of the 'buggy, broken and proud' race has to be Oblivion and Fallout 3 (Fallout not so much but I had some problems with it), the number of times I've had to reload or restart the game because a quest item/character disappeared or an event that was supposed to happen didn't etc. is legendary in terms of how bad it is (and I was on the 360 version where the usual remedy is turn the console off and let it cool down, I'd hate to try and fix it on the PC).

The most memorable game with a glitch I've ever had was Sims 3. Some people randomly stretched and grew to look like those bobble head things - big head, small body. The first time that happened, I nearly died in fright (it was scary!). Others, when sleeping, kept sitting up. Every few minutes. And, of course, the biggest glitch of all, which crashed my computer until I gave up playing. Heck, I had to download a patch the day I got the game >.<

Other than that, I don't tend to have problems with glitches. The only other one I remember was on the 360, where the whole screen froze and I had to restart. Several times. Boo.

I haven't played Sim 3, but the second one was so buggy on my computer (which is more than qualified to play the bloody thing.

Star Wars Force Unleashed (I've mentioned it before), and even after the patch they haven't fixed the clipping or other random bugs in the game, and they still demand money for the DLC that's half arsed.

Out of the ones I have played, Force Unleashed and inFamous are about the most gliched games I have seen, by far...

I also had a very ugly freeze recently playing Ghostbusters.

It's fairly acceptable for a game of that scale, but a game like the infamous 'S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky', with it's laborious grinding gameplay it's difficult to forgive all the bugs.

Yeah, I had lots of trouble for the Sims 2 too, but I think my problem came from my processer. Ended up buying another... 1000 RAM, me thinks? and then it worked great. It encouraged me to buy 3, at any rate, which was a biiiiiig mistake XD
