Boiling Point: Road to hell could have been a world beater except it was buggy as hell in almost every imaginable way. It basically plays like far cry 2 except you can store items in cars, get involved in faction wars and go terminator on police stations but it was so very buggy.

Starship Troopers: Marauder. God, I played the DEMO of the game first and even the shotgun at close range sucked. The main game (that I bootlegged) wasn't any better and I stand behind my decision to not pay for that piece of crap. It could have been good though :(

Everyone is mentioning Oblivion but have you all forgot the buggy mess that was Morrowind?

I haven't played Sim 3, but the second one was so buggy on my computer (which is more than qualified to play the bloody thing.
I had that same problem, and I definately wasn't anything to do with my computer. I have never had problems with any other game, but sometimes it would just freeze on Sims 2.

I was playing through Oblivion earlier, and I noticed quite a few bugs, items spinning madly about, bodies continually twitching, and enemies getting stuck in trees or walls; this got me to thinking, what do you escapists believe is the buggiest/most broken game?

I always found Oblivion to have the largest amount of bugs for a game highly rated.

I just do not like their engine one bit.

Yeah, their physics engine leaves a lot to be desired. I was glad that they fixed some of it in Fallout 3, but even that has it's fair share of glitches.
Odd, all this talk of bugs in Oblivion. I've never had a problem. I would say factory defect, but it's hard to argue the fact with three people back to back.
They did patch it. You might have played it post patch.

I can't just pick one game. All bugs and glitches frustrate me equally.

Mine would freeze, then crash the computer.

Most of those problems can be fixed by holding down the "A" button when the game boots up before the title screen (at least in the 360 version).
and pressing A+B+DOWN helps catch pokemon.
I lol'd...

Assassin's Creed. I'm sure most were just design flaws, but when NPC's began twitching hyperactively between the ground and 3 feet above said ground I began to suspect it wasn't just me. I actually took a Leap of Faith early on in Damascus and found my ankles sticking out of my ears as I desync'd on top of a pile of straw.

Game - Platform - Bug

Oblivion - PC - Some weird bugs sometimes, some dodgy graphics
Hidden&Dangerous - PC - Crashed often
Age of Conan - PC - Numurous bugs and glitches
GTAIV - PC - Not too bad, but some graphical glitches
Simcity 4 - PC - It's annoying transit/commute bugs
Uncharted - PS3 - Would occasionally crash, esp after loading
Fallout 3 - PC - Probs one of the worst of the recent games for crashes

I hear oblivion was pretty bugged, but it's come through quite a few patches, and the modding community is pretty rabbid, and have fixed/improved a lot of the poor parts of that game.

I've never had many problems with it, except ocationaly getting stuck between a rock and a wall, and can't jump back out, because I'm stuck on an incline I'm not supposed to be able to stand on.

not close to as bad as some of the mentions here, but kotor 2 i think deserves a mention

there are quests like hunting down the hk50 droid factory that cant be done, among many others!

Out of the ones I have played, Force Unleashed and inFamous are about the most gliched games I have seen, by far...
I've beat inFamous twice now and haven't noticed any bugs, what are you referring to?

Fallout 3 is bugged up the ass...

There was one bug that really made me mad near the end of the game (it was for me atleast). I had just aquired the Railway Rifle and I went into one of the vaults. It seemed that everytime I used that particular gun, the game and my xbox would just lock up all together...

That isn't even including all the weird things that happened like people passing through doors, falling through the floor and all those times you can get stuck trying to jump across rock mountains...

There are several things, mostly clipping and collision detection:
- People keep walking facing a wall.
- Events not being triggered/people not moving when they should.
- Dead enemies still showing in the minimap.
- Police oficials shooting to thin air...
- When trying to heal/capture/drain someone, many times he gets to walk on the spot without doing anything...
- Game froze to me a couple times.
- I walked through walls several times, also ceilings and one time I walked through the floor (nothing fancy, just running in the street, when suddenly I walked through the map and kept falling in a empty space)

Strange, I haven't encountered any of these. Perhaps a bad copy?

I think that is unlikely... I read some reviews and heard some podcasts talking about the game and they all found similar issues.
Nothing of that broke the game to me, since I also finished it twice; but they got noticeable (even predictable, as I can repeat many of the clipping issues)...
