Buggy and Broken Games

I have two examples, although neither are so buggy that I'd consider them broken.

First: Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. Seriously, this game is just half-assed. Not only does the dialogue and menus have hilarious mistakes (offer a coin to a certain person and he'll ask if he can eat it), it's got a lot of bugs and things that just weren't thought through. Calves disappear, showing a baby to the horse makes it hate you FOREVER, you're stuck with non-productive goats FOREVER unless you kill them, one plant-hybridisation doesn't work the way it should, you can duplicate a certain spice, and NPC's sometimes stop to listen to a piano that no-one's playing at that time. The best of all, your cows can get stuck into the milking room for HALF A GODDAMN SEASON. But usually they just don't know how to go into the damn room even though they desperately try to walk through their mangers.

Second: Deadly Creatures. I like Deadly Creatures, but the game has some issues. Enemies can suddenly disappear into the walls or the ground, ground-walking enemies sometimes shift to walls or get stuck, the controls are really random sometimes, and you can fall from very strange places when you play as the tarantula. And get this; when you or your enemies fall down from just about any height, you immediately die. That's not how it works! If a beetle falls from the roof of a building, it's fine! If a spider falls down from a chair, it won't curl up and die! It goes against logic.

Fallout 3, simply because I had to make a new character because I got stuck in the unfixable bed glitch in Megaton. It shouldn't be my fault that I didn't "keep a save to revert back to". I shouldn't have to. They still haven't fixed it...
If you've ever played an RPG before, you would know to save VERY often.

GMod 9 (PC), note that it's a FREE mod. If you weld too much stuff to too much stuff (as if you're trying to make a Katamari Ball or something), it spazzes out. ('The Blackhole Effect') It's just a big seizuring ball of death. Walk into it and you'll be punted great distances (and killed on impact). The only cure is to pull your Crossbow of Deletion and hammer some arrows into it, or take your Physgun, grabs it, and freeze it.
If you get a mass of wooden crates (or other flamable/explosive items), set one on fire, and wait a few seconds, your game will crash, and your sound buffer will loop the last two seconds.
And then there's Mingebag Behaviour 101: Go into server, spawn 50 'Huge Chimney' props, EasyWeld them to each other, and you have a lag issue (and an asshole issue).

As for other games...
Harry Potter: PoA (GameCube). I equipped my broomstick and did what anyone who could fly would do - go up. I soared upwards until Harry suddenly stopped. The camera entered the back of his head, and it looked like someone with a triggered peanut allergy, inside out.
Left 4 Dead (Xbox 360). During the Death Toll Finale, a Tank came up behind us and smacked Louis. He flew over the rooftop of the cottage and acted as if he were hanging from a ledge, despite being several feet away from it. We were oveerwhelmed because we were laughing too hard to fight.
And while I was sat on top of that roof (as a Hunter), I looked through the hole in the roof, and the WHOLE cottage vanished beneath me. It was still solid, and I could see everyone inside (hovering meters off the ground-level, no less), but I could see the dirt beneath the cottage.
In No Mercy, just after the Chopper Pilot tells you to go to the namesake hospital, you can jump off the rooftop you're on and live. Jumping into the alleyway and landing on the air conditioner can skip you the entire apartment section with only the cost of a medikit. And jumping into the main road (and hugging the wall of the building next to you can put you behind the 'Wrong Way!' fence. Walk down the road and the realistic façade peels away quick. And running into the crashed Hummer will give you a heart attack. Literally.
While this was patched recently (Valve, you assholes), you could repeatedly punch a chaingun turret and fling yourself away at 100kph (and shatter your ankles on the fall). That was an AWESOME one.

In Sonic Unleashed (Xbox 360), I fed Chip so much stuff that a single item of food more will crash the game. Now I can't get the achievement for giving him one of every food item.

Mirror's Edge, being killed in the middle of a jump or fall will make Faith slump over with her hand a'fore her face as normal, but it's unnerving to think that she's actually three feet off the ground whilst being incapacitated. You can also get down to street level from one of the rooftops in a certain level. But walking into an unknown area (unknown as in you can't see it), will violently shudder your controller and make Faith black out. If you do it right, you can go to the edge of the map and fall out. The noise that happens when you're falling kicks in and doesn't stop.
*BvvvwooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...*

And let's just say the whole of Sonic 2006, which was incidentally coded by the programmers smacking their heads against the keyboard,

The miscellaneous Taunt Glitches of Team Fortress 2 (Xbox 360). The moving taunt (jump just after you hold the X button and you can move and taunt at the same time) and the switch taunt (change weapon just after you hold the X button and you will taunt with the wrong weapon). The former is cool because you can celebrate a kill without being in danger. The latter is cool because you can make crazy things happen. Heavy twirling Sasha around his finger (shotgun), the Demoman drinking his grenade launcher (Scrumpy bottle), the Engineer twirling his wrench or Construct-o-mat (pistol), the Medic playing his syringe launcher (Bone Saw). And so on...

the old fallout-games had some bugs. there was something missing everytime in the inventory or the car was gone or my save stats.

many jrpgs have bugs like glitches to store unlimited amounts of items or multiply them(ff6/7)

skate2 is buggy as hell, it gets more annoying the more you play it. especially because you advance to the point where its about style and landing right or making videos. the more realistic you want your skater to look moving the more you get hung up or stuck in shit. if you huck over anything you just keep going. also the replay-editor is fucking broken, the angles wont stay where you put them.

Game - Platform - Bug

Oblivion - PC - Some weird bugs sometimes, some dodgy graphics
Hidden&Dangerous - PC - Crashed often
Age of Conan - PC - Numurous bugs and glitches
GTAIV - PC - Not too bad, but some graphical glitches
Simcity 4 - PC - It's annoying transit/commute bugs
Uncharted - PS3 - Would occasionally crash, esp after loading
Fallout 3 - PC - Probs one of the worst of the recent games for crashes
i KNEW some one would mention age of conan xD. rightfully so, game was a POS when it came out. but recently, funcom had an offer running where you could re evaluate the game for free w/o having to put your credit card down; just hop on and play. i was rather sceptical at first, but the game has REALLY taken a turn for the better. content is all there (except 40s, all you have is feild of the dead and noble dist) end game is improved, but still not great. i recommend it to all who really wanted to like it, but just gave up with funcom's failures.

GTAIV and Saints Row 2
Care to elaborate on the bugs found within these games?
GTAIV, when it first came out, was so goddamn glitchy on the PS3 (and still is) that its barley playable.

The shitty controls, the glitches I found in the "wanted" level, the graphics would glitch in and out, sometimes I had the video just cut off and come back on in the middle of doing something, the color in the game (not really sure if thats a glitch or not) is so dark that if you're in an ally way past 6 o clock, you can't see anything. Plus, most of the gunfights take place in dark ally ways and dark buildings.

And I don't really have to say anything about Saints Row 2. I love SR2, but you just have to play it for about 5 minutes to get what I'm saying.

Yeah SR2 was filled with weird crap and outright crashes.

GTA4 runs fine on the 360, never had a crash yet.

That's just it. GTA4 is alright on 360, but it is absolute shit on PS3

Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled has got to be one of the buggiest games ever. More than Fallout 3 or Oblivion. In those games the worst I've had involved freezes, and the potential to become an incurable vampire (glad I read that before trying it out).

In Black sigil, your game will freeze. Several times. It is a fact. And totally at random thorugh the entire game. On top of this it is very easy to at one particular part of the game to pick one of three characters to do something and afterwards be stuck with ONLY that character for the next few hours as the rest of the party is gliched out. They do not exist, and thankfully you eventually get them back. Happened to my roomate, and to anyone else don't pick Kairu. I didn't, and if at all possible never used him for anything else either.

The meter that fills up after scanning mobs is broken, and a quest for doing them all is not possible. Scanning in general doesn't always work right. The final double tech for Nym and Rogurd has a whole sidequest to it, but after getting it you can never use it as it will not show up to use. Ever.

One possibly unintended, but hugely benificial "glitch" involves a secret shop that sells stuff from 3 catalogs you find hidden. You choose which one to order stuff from at the shop, and everything in the 3rd catalog is a stat increasing pot. They are terribly expensive. They 3rd catalogue also lets you sell anyhting at like 5x the regular price. So you can buy 99 of the mana rings in catalogue 1 and sell them back through #3 to buy infinite stat pots. Maxed stats are achieved at level 50ish.

This game is horrible from a technical perspective, but the gamplay, story, characters, dialog, graphics, and music are so awesome that I would reccomend this game to anyone that loves RPGs and has a DS. If it was on a platform that could be patched, and they toned down the frequency of the random battles then it would be absolutely perfect.
