BUGS! BUGS EVERYWHERE!

So we bought this new house sometime in late November. It's an older house for sure, owned by the sweetest old woman you've ever met whose husband passed away about 15 years ago or so.

We had the occasional "stink bug", or "Shield bug" come into the house during the winter, but they're usually pretty simple to deal with and are relatively harmless.

However with spring starting, as of yesterday, we noticed we have a couple wasps outside. Then there were about 3 in my mother's bedroom. Now there's currently one hiding in the living room somewhere and I can't get to it.
There's also a nest outside near one of the second story windows.
And since they are probably coming out of hibernation, there are quite a few more of those stink bugs, in my room in particular (probably because my room is the nearest to the attic windows one floor above).

There are also spiders, but I tend to ignore most of them as long as they hang out in the far corners.

I'm a rather large, 22 year old man who has encountered snakes, lizards, feral animals all just fine, but I instantly become a huge wuss at the sight of insects. I think they're pretty cool from a distance, but in my own home...

Anyway, I need advice on stopping this, other than a professional exterminator if possible. (if the problem persists, I might have no choice)

I need to know what has worked for you. Is it really advisable to set up a "soap trap" inside my house? Or what kind of sprays have been effective before? Would a bug zapper racket be effective against a single wasp, or would I just be irritating it more?

What do?! Honestly, I had the worst sleep last night because every little tap I heard last night would jerk me awake and cause me to search around my entire room looking for a bug. (came up with nothing, but probably only got like 4 hours of sleep out of a possible 10 since I had off work)

I recommend the exterminator option. With the amount and variety, I cant imagine anything else. Had a weird infestation of these cricket like things in the basement (where I spend most of my time gaming) so we got an exterminator and it actually worked.

Snakes and feral animals atleast you can understand. Bugs are alien as hell...likely why aliens are usually based on them.

Awww, lucky. I currently have a few roaches in my room, but my previous house had a variety of potter wasps and mud dauber wasps. They're a delight to watch. Maybe this is your chance to overcome your fear and learn to accept your new tiny bug friends?

I used to be nervous of insects too. The more you're exposed to them the more you realise they're harmless. We're taught to be repulsed by insects, but it's possible to get past it and coexist.

OMG! I hate bugs. But especially spiders and roaches. I had a lot of them in my old apartment. I suggest you to read this https://getridpests.com/ . Here you will find all you need to know about these insects and learn how to get rid of them. In my case it has helped.
